I think he felt guilty about basically abducting her from her home, taking her away from everyone and everything…
Yeah DFQC definitely goes to the extreme for her 😅 It's like that one scene where Orchid says the Moon Supreme's life is worth at least 3 of hers, so if she saves his life once that makes up for him saving her 3 times 😂
ok, can someone enlighten me how did DFQC hurt orchid? like apart from that one time when he said I hate you blah…
I think he felt guilty about basically abducting her from her home, taking her away from everyone and everything she knew, and then continuing to wage war against her people. She would not have been tortured by Yunzhong if not for her connection to DFQC. He also lied to her and got angry with her several times, which hurt her emotionally.
I watched for the first time about a month and a half ago, but I've already rewatched it 3 times. I haven't been this in love with a story in years! Great performances by the actors, beautiful sets and CG, memorable music, and overall good pacing and character writing.
To be honest, I wasn't super hooked on my first watch until about halfway through, but now whenever I watch the earlier episodes I feel a warm sense of nostalgia. I think the early immaturity of the characters is necessary for their growth to feel so satisfying. I was impressed.
Finally finished all the eps today. I love the ending and I'm obsessed with this couple. I'm also pretty happy with what happened with the side characters. Amazing show! Definitely a personal favorite 🥰
I've been wondering since the flashback episodes at the beginning when SYS's sister was gonna be relevant again, I'm glad she finally got brought up in today's episodes. Really hope this drama manages to tie up all the plot points by the end.
Bratty SYS is amazing. Making fun of SY and abandoning his war plans out of spite against DT... absolutely incredible. Also he's literally that meme "I've only had XRR for a day and a half but if anything happens to her, I'll kill everyone" 🤣
Question: How old was SYS when he met MQG? Thank you! 💜
In EP5 during the scene where Ping buys SYS from his mom, she says that she has been raising him for 10 years. In EP3 when SYS eavesdrops on Ping and the magician, they say that it has been 8 years since they found him and put the Spirit Spring in him. So SYS must be roughly 18 years old when he meets MQG. Also in EP3, SYS's sister tells him that MQG is no older than 25.
I'm impressed by how well the action scenes are done in this show. Today's SYS vs. spider and MQG vs. DT scenes are both great. Though I think my favorite is still when MQG and SYS first fought on the river. Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing more as we get closer to the ending
The little date before going to the Netherworld was very cute. I think it's entertaining how SYS becomes like a puppy, so lovey-dovey it's giving me diabetes 😂 I really enjoy the possessive, violent side of him as well, I guess the contrast is what makes him interesting. Looking forward to seeing how XRR will tame this ferocious beast again. This time she can't rely on her power like she did as MQG.
I'm losing count of how many times a character had told XRR that "SYS is the demon child!" and she just blinks like "ok tell me something I don't know"
Meanwhile SYS goes depresso mode every single time this gets brought up 🤦 somebody help this man... XRR, tie him up and beat some self-love into your man!!
SY and MRW are both so incredibly delulu to the point that it's laughable, really hoping we can get both of them out of the picture soon
One thing I really love about this drama is how the FL develops, we are really seeing the pay off now. Even without all the abilities and memories she used to have, XRR is still absolutely badass - she knows what she wants and she holds strongly to her convictions. She believes in the goodness in people, but she's not naively selfless either. Her confrontations with both SY and MRW were so satisfying. She sees through people so easily and isn't afraid to call them out, especially SYS (Though let's be fair, no matter how much he tries to repress himself, it's soooo obvious how obsessed he is with XRR/MQG 😂) Julia Xiang does a great job portraying both the sweet and tough sides of this character!
SYS thinks he doesn't deserve to be with MQG/XRR, but whenever she even breathes in Su Yu's direction, SYS's murderous intent goes through the roof 😂
Poor SYS can't believe that MQG would ever truly love him, his whole drunken spiel made me so sad, but even so he can't help but want to be with her anyway... he was so cute when he admitted he ate all of XRR's dried longan, he's really like a big puppy that needs pets
I'm excited to see what's gonna happen with the Spirit Spring seeming to be restored. I think SYS deserves to commit some crimes, as a treat

SYS: your way of flirting sucks
also SYS: you're actually pretty good at seducing people
