^ this. How many artists (and so many of them Korean!) have committed suicide in past few years? How many more…
As of 2020 South Korea has ranked 4th on the suicide rate by country list out of 183 countries. Statistics state that the male suicide rate is 38.4%, meanwhile, the female rate 15.4% which makes the total per year 13,765. The Statistics are there. The numbers don't just add up beautiful souls from the entertainment industry but the the entirety of South Korea's population.
I know that their government is making efforts to try and help, however, they aren't doing enough seeing as the numbers keep rising.
This is honestly so sad. There needs to be more support for everyone working in the entertainment industry. This beautiful woman had her whole life ahead of her.
My heart goes out to her family, friends and loved ones.
Don't remember..watched it long back...don't worry u are almost around the corner
This is an extremely late response and you've probably already finished the drama but I'm going to respond anyway. The end of episode 40 and the beginning of episode 41 is when Mi Yeong admits to Jung Hee, for the first time, that she likes him. However, they do not get together right away, since the entire main cast is faced with a problem, that was built up from around the beginning of the drama and had finally raised to the surface and been rerevealed a few eps prior.
But if you clearly notice he has really brought out the versatility between all the 3 mean roles he has played…
It's the script design for his characters that is repetitive. All three characters are well off guys, and two out of three of the characters knew the female lead in the beginning. Then each story progresses, to the male character not liking the female and thus starts to tease, and bully her to make her life miserable; then as the show progresses, he begins to fall for her because he realizes she's actually a good person etc. That's repetitive. I feel like they didn't really try that hard to differentiate Mark's character from his previous ones etc. That and this 'Enemies to Lovers' 'Rich Arrogant Male Lead victimizing the Female Lead' trope is immensely popular in larkorns.
Look at it this way. If you overlook the fact that all three characters are from different dramas and you overlook the different names, family, job and social status and lined them up and observed how they behaved and talked; all three male characters could practically be the same person due to how similar they are characteristic and personality wise.
However, don't get me wrong, I loved all three dramas, even if each drama had similar plot devices. Mark really brought each character to life really well and I couldn't imagine anyone else casted as them.
Why does Mark keep taking on these roles (not that I'm complaining) but this is the third drama I've seen of him being a sort of 'arrogrant smart ass guy' to the female lead and then eventually falls in love with her.
Most likely to give them time for more filming (and editing). Korea has increased restrictions and now there cannot…
Just because they finished filming does not mean they won't go back and refilm scenes. 'Finished filming' doesn't necessarily mean they are actually finished filming overall. It just means that they've filmed all the scenes for now and are now reviewing them and making sure they don't need to refilm.
I don't doubt that once Tae Joon returns from the military, they will begin promoting. I mean. so many people are anticipating this drama; meaning at the moment they have a good following.
Honestly I'm so happy at the direction Park Shin Hye is going throughout the years. She's been getting role, after role. Each role slowly more bigger than the other, better than the other. Action really suits her, and I hope she continues to take on such roles (if she wants to).
Thought it supposed to be out February 2021, now push to March, anyone knownwhy?
Most likely to give them time for more filming (and editing). Korea has increased restrictions and now there cannot be a gathering of more than 5 people inside and outside. Pushing back the release date, gives staff, and cast more time to work on the drama to ensure it's at it's best when released.
I don't have much of a good feeling about this. It might hinder/change the plot of S1 drastically. Not sure what…
To be completely honest, there is many ways they could go for a Season 2, especially since this drama is an adaption of a webtoon. Since it's an adaption, it doesn't necessarily have to follow the webtoon exactly, and it can drift away. Personally, my main concern is whether or not they'll connect the first and second season; or will certain things get lost, leaving gaps in the plot.
I'd also like to point out that the one mistake these type of Supernatural, Action dramas make is that they overlook an interesting plot device rather quickly. They use it for a few episodes, then they decide to throw it out the window for something lackluster. For example, they could focus on internal conflicts for a few episodes (the interesting plot device), then make it resolved in a few episodes, just so the group could go back to fighting demons (lackluster), only to all of a sudden stumble upon another discovery which makes zero sense and does not connect to previous plot devices etc.
If they choose to only lightly touch upon internal conflicts in Season 1, will they actually dive in-depth in season 2, or will they briefly touch upon it and simply focus on other things that don't necessarily make sense?

There currently aren't many things being explored in the first season. Here are a few things we still don't know the answers to; Why do the members need to be in a coma to be possessed, and why was So Mun able to be possessed without being in a coma? And it's also hinted at that he is more powerful than the others etc. We also don't know that much about the celestial (that's what I'm calling them) possessing the team.
At the moment, the drama is focusing more on the task the group must do to defeat these demons and the mystery of Sun Mun's parents, rather than the internal mystery of their powers and the source etc.
To be fair, only 8 episodes have aired so far and we still have 8 episodes remaining. Thus it is possible that in the remaining 8, they might choose to touch upon internal conflicts and then expand them onto season 2 (which would be the best choice story wise, if they want to make a good, high valued second season)
What the hell? Season 2? That's so weird. I was not expecting a season 2 because from the way the drama is going at the moment, it seems like the main plot device will be solved before the end.
It's sad that Seon Mi dies but the actual ending of the drama itself is an open ending. It ends with Oh Gong driving somewhere far and it ends with his monologue where he says he will appear whenever she calls his name. Which indicates that he will find her eventually.
The drama does have it's heartbreaking moments, but alas this drama is still a good one.
She only filmed one episode. When she passed, they were halfway through filming the second, so even if they do…
They can't actually release it unless they got permission from her family. It would be considered disrespectful if they released the episode she filmed, without actually consulting her family members and asking if it's okay.
I hope they could still release the episodes they filmed with sulli even if they're changing the fl tbh. I just…

We need more substance.
