Loved their first interactions in this episode! Li SuSu desperately saving Tantai Jin that fate-changing night (the devil works hard but SuSu works harder). Tantai Jin continuously wondering WITAF is wrong with this woman all of a sudden 😂 Tantai Jin revealing how he and Ye XiWu got married, but leaving out his true colors.

Ye BingChang... Yeah, no. Skipping all her scenes except for when she's getting destroyed. Although I do have to say, that scene at breakfast where Ye grandmother tells Ye XiWu there's no need to go apologize in case she catches her sister's cold. That scene alone speaks volumes about how the grandmother's favoritism and pampering played a huge role in screwing up the two sisters.

Watching episode 1 for the umpteenth time and that unparalleled fiery entrance of Devil God Tantai Jin, introduction of mortal Tantai Jin kneeling in the snow, and the stark contrast between the two still never fail to send chills down my spine. Not to mention Luo's eyes and raspy voice, and the emotional weight felt in the opening and closing songs. 🆘🆘🆘

Hey everyone! Long-time lurker here finally joining in to marinate together over this masterpiece! Three years later and this story, especially Tantai Jin's arc, still won't let me move on. Beyond psyched to experience this drama again with everyone for the 3rd anniversary rewatch!!!
