Deserves higher ratings and more viewers

When I first came across Switch of Fate, I wasn't expecting much. I was in a drama slump and was struggling to find shows that kept my interest for more than a few episodes. I was intrigued by the body swap element, so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! Sure, Switch of Fate has its flaws, but its unique storyline, engaging characters, and creative plot twists more than make up for them.

Ginny and Tet were by far my favorite characters. I loved watching their relationship grow and evolve over time. Both actors were phenomenal in their respective roles and conveyed so much emotion through their performances. Kul and Wat's storylines weren’t as interesting to me overall, but even their characters gained depth as the show went on. I'll admit that I started out watching their scenes at 1.5x speed, but by the end, I was much more invested. As a viewer, I enjoyed discovering that Kul and Wat had more layers to them than I initially thought. Thitiya was a noteworthy character as well. Without going into detail, I appreciated her commitment to family and thought she demonstrated strength in difficult situations.

One thing that really stands out about Switch of Fate is that it's both character- and plot-driven. Not many shows can effectively pull this off, but Switch of Fate did in my opinion. While there were some repetitive plot points, the overarching story was well-executed and unlike anything I've watched before. Many creative elements were obviously carefully considered, such as the choice to have Tet slick his hair back, while Wat wore his hair down (a small detail that helps viewers recognize and remember which body the characters are in).

Switch of Fate definitely deserves better than a 7.9 MDL rating, and given that the most recent review besides mine was posted 4 years ago, it deserves a larger viewership as well. If you're trying to decide whether to watch, take a chance on it like I did! I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised.
