This show is definitely not for everybody, but is unfortunately definitely for me. Sorn is a mess. He's controlling, jealous, domineering, and intense. And I'm eating it up. I find Jun so adorable and I love that he tried to open a channel of communication with Sorn, even though it went down the "no strings attached" route, which we know isn't even remotely true. I need good things to happen for Jun immediately. My poor baby is going to hurt so badly before this is all over. I need him to get involved with Jom and I need Sorn to watch him be happy. I'm also choosing to believe this takes place in a universe where lube does not exist because otherwise Sorn is just being sadistic. Not that Jun seems to mind the pain.
I also cannot wait to see more of Penny and June. I need more tense interactions from them and I need to see their history because damn does it feel like they have some. I love love love that they're in this piece; I'll definitely keep up with this show if not just to see what happens with them.
This show is messy, toxic, and excessive and that's part of what makes it enjoyable for me. I love some toxicity, some dubcon, and some possessiveness in my fiction. I also like that song that plays during their first intimate scenes. That being said, it's not without its many flaws so far: the kids feel a little out of place to me; I'm not sold on the second couple; it kind of feels plotless to me, kind of empty in a way. I'm hoping this'll change in the next couple of episodes.
I'm such a Rak appreciator. A Rak enthusiast, perhaps. I think he's so endearing and his character development…
I could write an essay on everything I enjoy about Rak as a character and his dynamics with the world and people around him. I don't care what anybody says, I think he's delightful and Kong really brings him to life.
I'm such a Rak appreciator. A Rak enthusiast, perhaps. I think he's so endearing and his character development is so great. He's grown so much over the course of the series so far. I loved seeing him confront Oh; I love that he was so straightforward and blunt, but kind as always. I love that he's gained clarity on how he feels and has brought his loved ones in on what he's truly feeling. I love that he's sharing his anxieties and has such a loving network to support him.
Oh deserved every punch from Fah. No punches in this series has been enough recourse for Oh assaulting Rak and his friends. In fact, people were definitely filming that incident. His assault was caught on multiple phone cameras and nothing ever came of it. That bothers me for some reason.
Oh can be sad and dejected all he wants, but his "love" backstory with Rak and heartbreak will never absolve him of the terrible lengths he went to have him.
Other thoughts:
It makes sense to me that Rak would be uncertain of Fah's feelings. I mean, he couldn't even figure out his own until just now. Their intimacy had always been within the framework of faking their relationship. Every kiss, every touch, was framed as a performance. Fah being uncertain makes sense too since Rak's actions (which make sense to me) made it seem like he was uncomfortable or scared of Fah (the day after they made out on the bed and after he watched Fah beat the hell out of Oh). I just think their mutual misunderstanding and confusion makes sense at this point.
I can't wait to see it all play out. I'm looking forward to Actual Boyfriends FahRak. I can't wait to see some development of RealHia.
I'm loving ThomasKong. They're so cute and play off each other so well. I like this series a lot.
I'm so impatient for the next episode. I keep thinking about thomaskong's chemistry, both on and off the screen. I also keep thinking about Rak's continuing development as a character. I know a lot of people have criticisms about his "childishness," but he's so lovable and he's constantly learning and exposing himself to life and it's beautiful. He's been so sheltered, held so tightly by his loving family, and now he's getting the chance to explore himself and what he wants. Seeing him get comfortable saying no, seeing him say yes to intimacy that he does want, seeing him experience anxiety around love and his desires has been so fun so far. This turned into a Rak appreciation comment, but I so deeply love the dynamic between Fah and Rak; they're so good for each other.
I'm so impatient for the next episode. I keep thinking about thomaskong's chemistry, both on and off the screen.…
Also, I still think Oh should've faced harsher consequences for his actions in the first episode. He's so lucky that all he got was a punch in the face. His hands were all over Rak. I'd be traumatized.
The chemistry is what brings me back to this series from time to time. Is the execution of the concept perfect? No. But Boy and Tod's chemistry does some heavy lifting. The couch scene is one of my favorite intimate scenes in a BL drama. I think about it all the time.
I'm loving this series so much. Episode 6 was such a beautiful episode; it was visually stunning. Punlee is such a lovely little love instigator. I adore him. I personally adore a lot of Teerak's traits and his character development. I can see why Muenfah is so taken by him. I think the acting is great and the chemistry between Thomas and Kong is really doing it for me. I also cannot wait for Real and Hia to get it together. The kiss at the end of the episode was beautiful. I loved the visual detail of the lip balm transfer when they were interrupted. Fah wants him so bad and it's absolutely delicious to watch.
I'm back again. This show is so funny and it just keeps getting better. Again, I'm absolutely taken by Junior. He's such a delightful character, such a go-getter, so optimistic. I loved learning more about the characters, the tension between Sun and Junior, the gentle touches and casual proximity between Jodd and Jeng. The use of catnip, however, is killing me. I could not stop laughing. It's so unhinged, so out of pocket and Junior looked so victorious; I can't wait to see what the catnip usage results in next week. Poor Sun. His pining and self-isolation is no match for the mischievous, determined, mate-for-life penguin that is Junior.
This show has me in a chokehold. The acting, the silliness, the fantasy, the shamelessness. What a treat. I'm probably going to keep waxing poetic about this little gem every week until it's over and then for the unforeseeable future after that. This quickly has become one of my favorite projects of 2024.
I'll be keeping an eye out for future BenJay projects for sure. The whole cast is wonderful, honestly.
This is genuinely such a gem of a series. I'm enjoying every second of it. It's funny, it's tense at moments, and it's been a genuinely enjoyable watch. The pairing of a black panther and penguin is such a fun idea. Ben and Jay are doing such a good job and I feel even stronger about that with each passing episode. The kiss was nice and I love their chemistry. I'm particularly taken by Jay's portrayal of Junior. Is this drama perfect? No, but I'm loving the ride and I think that it has a lot to offer. I really hope more people get into it and give it a chance.
I'm loving this project so much. Dunk as Style is so fun to watch. I love a bratty bottom and I love to see a bratty bottom get what he wants and deserves, the most recent case being pinned against some lockers. This is such a silly show, even with the serious details and context. I mean that in the best way possible. Also, Khao as Bison is SO fucking cute. What a fun watch.
I'm having so much fun with this so far. I'm loving the arm/sand/po dynamic. Having to wait one episode a week for such a long series sucks but that's just because I'm impatient. Force is really doing it for me in this one; there's just something about him. I also love Book's comedic moments. I have my fingers crossed that it'll continue to keep my interest and keep me laughing. It's always a good sign when I'm counting down the days and hours to the next episode.
I'm loving this so much. Their chemistry is unbelievable. I need them in a longer production immediately because I cannot get enough of them. Minimal environments, dialogue and nonverbal communication heavy, and their chemistry moves everything forward. Is the plot groundbreaking? No. But everything about this is making my heart flutter. Also I love a bit of an age gap, so that's fun.
This first episode was a little lackluster and the pacing seemed off to me, but I still enjoyed it as a first episode. The important details were present. I'm hoping that the chemistry picks up in the future episodes. I think the leads are cute and I enjoy Rei's personality in this adaptation so far. I really enjoyed the overflowing chemistry in the Thai adaptation. Honestly, even with the faster pacing, I think as long as the chemistry picks up and stays strong I'll stick with it. Some of the transitions/cuts annoyed me for some reason, too, so hopefully that doesn't happen too much. I went into this for Shoma, so I'm excited to see how he continues to portray Arashi and that dynamic he's going to have with Rei. I'm also excited to see what changes and choices are made in this adaptation that'll differ from the Thai one. Yippee I've been waiting for this!
I come back to this one so often. The age gap, the younger top, the boss/employee dynamic...they pull it off so well. It just feels so sincere, so tense in just the right way. They're constantly running through my mind. I need more of them. This series is so delicious to me.
I went into this blind and had no set expectations. there was something about this first episode that felt a little…
Also, I thought that momentary break in time at the beginning of the episode where they were hooking up had already happened and was a flashback. I'm assuming that was just Pat's imagination running wild when Elis' shoulder pushed into his? Right? That one scene really threw off my understanding of what was happening for a while lmao.
I went into this blind and had no set expectations. there was something about this first episode that felt a little off. maybe it was the editing, maybe it was the acting, maybe the tone felt a little inconsistent. I also ended up kind of confused. still, I'll check out the next episode. I love an office romance so i'm really hoping it'll get better.
The blue and orange color coding had me in a chokehold from the very beginning. I really liked this one. It's a cute and light watch. Haruna's character is so key, such a catalyst that it made me giggle at times. I love a fun friends to lovers situation.
I really enjoyed this one. It felt like an easy watch and their chemistry was tangible. I really grew to adore Shirasaki. His thought process, though at times illogical, made sense to me. The music is so pretty. The cinematography is gorgeous too. The only shots I didn't like were the slowed down, kind of choppy ones - they made me feel a little nauseated, but that's a me problem.
On a side note, Shoma was a standout for me and it makes me really excited to see his future work. I'll be tuning into the LITA remake for him.
