I thought the first episode was interesting and fun. I can't wait to see how it all pans out. I already love Min and I LOVE brats so I'm really digging Q. Really looking forward to seeing the dynamic between the two of them. On a side note, Ohm is so gorgeous. Like, I cannot take my eyes off of him. Such a stunner.

It's a shame people are so attached to a pairing that they're willing to review bomb half of the pairing's new work. Anyway, OhmLeng are already doing it for me. Solid 8/10 first episode for me. Also, I LOVED the music that played during that one scene at the Hidden Dragon.

Two episodes in and I'm loving this series so much. Taichi and Kohei make for such a lovely dynamic. I adore them. I miss them already. Kohei's perspective this episode was so well shot in my opinion. The cinematography was everything. Taichi is so important to me (and to Kohei, of course.) He's so bright and animated. So colorful. I love how physical he is. He's so clearly full of care and kindness and love. And Kohei. Oh, Kohei. I need to stop myself before I start writing endless flowery prose about these two.

So far I'm loving this. I really hope it maintains this momentum. I anticipate this being one of my favorite BLs of the year.

Kind of living for Atom's potential building obsession with Zen. Like, there's something going on there with that boy. That's going to be interesting to see develop. Those photos he took and posted on social media...those pictures are bound to return to relevancy, no? I'm suspicious of him and his motives. Like, he's a relative stranger and now he knows Zen's socials, where he works, and where he lives. That's a lot of info. It'll be cool if he's just a harmless cute little love rival or red herring too though. Personally, I can't wait for the inevitable jealousy from Ryu.

I'm electing to ignore some of the inconsistencies and choices that don't make sense to me for now because I like the chemistry between the leads and I like the unanswered questions I have about the building plot and characters.

Anyways, 3 episodes in, I'm enjoying this so far. If anybody hurts Shogun I will end them.

I've been looking forward to this series and episode 1 did not disappoint me. The end of episode 1 made so much sense and was so well played on Sailom's part. The power imbalances and power dynamics are going to be delicious and I'm looking forward to seeing how those dynamics wax and wane over the series for all couples involved. It seems like some people think this series is glorifying toxicity and bullying or will glorify those things, but it's only been one episode and I haven't seen or felt any glamorization at all. Also, I love the dynamics between Sailom, Auto, and Guy. What a funky little friend group.

I love this series so much so far. Waiting week to week is tortuous but I simply can't hold back until all episodes are released. I tried and failed. The depiction of Pisaeng's struggle with his identity means so much to me, it adds so much needed depth. Also, Max is MVP he's really out here working overtime.

I love Pear and I really hope we get to see her land a loving partner in the end. I love Pisaeng and I can't wait to finally see him happy. I love that we're seeing Kawi evolve as a character little by little. I love that he's bisexual and still figuring it out. I'm enjoying this series way more than I initially thought I would.

On another note: Not is a slimy little creature and I can't stand him. I cannot wait for him to get squashed.

The short runtime and series format really hurt the storytelling potential in my opinion. I still personally enjoyed…
Also, this isn't to say that a drama needs a kiss, because they don't, especially if they're handled poorly. I'm just saying that in this case, with so much tension intentionally built up it would have been nice to have it have some teeth. I don't know if that makes sense.

The short runtime and series format really hurt the storytelling potential in my opinion. I still personally enjoyed it, but the last two episodes felt so rushed. Again, I feel like with the build up of so much tension there should have been a kiss or like a clear, defined moment of physical intimacy once they started dating. It felt like the basketball scene was supposed to be a scene showing "physical chemistry" or desire like Thai dramas do with soccer sometimes, but I don't know.

I really enjoyed the build up but the last two episodes fell kind of flat for me, though I did find it cute. I feel like if they had more episodes, longer runtime, or even had this be a movie to begin with it would've been easier to follow and stay engaged with. Overall, though I liked this series and I'm glad I watched it. It's cute and I liked the way they tried to handle finances and socioeconomic circumstance as a complicating communication factor.

Also, I know he's very unpopular with people, but I really appreciated Yoojae. I liked his character a lot and I liked what he brought to the dynamic. I know a lot of people read him as a walking red flag, but I liked that he was complicated, conflicted, confused, and desirous. I continue to be a Yoojae apologist.

I really like Mai and I'm finding myself more interested in the development of the second couple. I think it's the editing and music that keeps taking me out of everything. The music is jarring at times and the flow from scene to scene is personally a little confusing to me at times. Also, I was worried at first about Thana and the high school kid having chemistry in the first episode, but the second episode made their relationship a little clearer so I'm personally thankful for that.

I find the premise of the show something I'm super into, but I'm not sure about the execution yet. So far the only 'mysterious' part for me at the moment is the question of why that character was able to see the cafe without an invitation.

I'm definitely going to keep watching because I like the concept and Mai, but I'm hoping it'll get better as the stories progress. I'm interested to see what wishes Thana and Ryou will eventually make.

The wide-shot SOTUS kiss tells me more than I wanted to know about the people involved in the production of this…
I agree with you. We've seen BL dramas do kisses and intimacy very well and at this point wide shots are a cop out, especially when gay romance is the point of the show. It's first and foremost a romance. And you're right - straight dramas nearly always get their real kisses. I guess I'm just trying to keep the hype up for myself so I can keep watching until I see how it ends - I'm personally in optimism delusional mode until episode 8 at this point. In the end, my final rating, review, and perception of the show is definitely not going to be as favorable as it was prior to the wide shot fake out kiss.

The wide-shot SOTUS kiss tells me more than I wanted to know about the people involved in the production of this…
That's fair. To be honest, I feel like a show like this, with the amount of tension and frustration it's built up, there needs to be a committed and good kiss. I would have preferred no attempted kiss if the wide shot is all they're going to offer. I think kisses should only be included if they're done right, so I'm holding out hope until the last two episodes. That being said, I've been so satisfied with the chemistry and build up that I'm personally willing to pretend the kiss never took place if it ends up being even more disappointing.

Episodes 5 and 6 were more painful to watch than even episode 4 in my opinion. I can't wait for Yoo Jae to really let it click or accept what he already knows. He wants to take care of and provide for Han Joon so badly and always has. He's all about acts of service and gift giving. He's jealous of Han Joon's relationships with both men and women. He's just as possessive as he was before the confession. He's devastated that Han Joon won't accept his touch anymore. He's locked up so tight it has me going insane. And as painful as it was for Yoo Jae during those months of separation, it was clearly so good for Han Joon.

I really thought Yoo Jae was going to bring the chocolates back to his place but no, he wanted to make sure they actually ended up in the trash. In front of Han Joon. Beyond cruel. He's really out here thinking that if Han Joon can forget he likes him and the events of that night they'd be able to go back to being boyfriends without the label.

The tension, desperation, and awkwardness are delightful; I love their chemistry and I love how embarrassing it is sometimes, especially on Yoo Jae's part. Part of me hopes that the wide shot of the kiss is just a teaser for a real kiss in episode 7, but even if it isn't, their chemistry and those moments of intimacy and desire for intimacy make up for it in my opinion.

I'm still very much a Yoo Jae appreciator and apologist. I just can't wait for him to come to his senses and ease up a bit.

I know Yoo Jae's a polarizing character, but I actually like him. I think he's complicated, emotional, and reactive. The confusion, the arguments, the quick apologies, the creation of opportunities to be touched and for moments of intimacy - it's all so adolescent. I don't know if that makes sense. The end of episode 4 was heartbreaking and emotional. I know people fault Yoo Jae for his reaction, but I think it was to be expected and honest. He was so upset about Han Joon not taking care of his own needs and own self, so caught up in his own anger, that I think if he said anything else it would've been worse/more crass than walking away. RIP the chocolates though. The shattering of the heart case got me. I didn't think I'd be a Yoo Jae apologist after episode 2 but here I am. I have so much to say about his character. The episodes are too short.

I'm personally really liking this drama so far and I'm excited to see the second half.

The main couple is so cute. I hate love triangles but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the Tai and Lomfon moments. He's trying hard. It's going to get so messy, especially once his brother comes to his senses. I really enjoy Tai and Thian's brotherly relationship so I'm preparing myself for the incoming angst and drama that's going to impact that. I'm hoping that the next episode will finally sell me on the side couple since I've yet to really feel any romantic tension. This drama is overall cute and I'm super into it so far. I just wish there were fewer flashbacks or that they were at least a little less repetitive.

I love soulmates so I find this pretty fun so far.

Tien is a good brother. He's also a brat. A huge one. He's so scrappy and reactive compared to Lomfon's calm cool and collected and I'm really into that opposition. That being said, I'm personally not feeling the romantic chemistry as much yet outside of the favor they did for Pingpong. I'm looking forward to their relationship development though!! I also want to know more of their backstory because I refuse to believe that Tien's so combative over a single incident over a book. Unless I missed something.

I kind of feel bad for the mom. It looks like she wants to say more, but she can't. I'm looking forward to seeing what happened there, especially since the parents were/are soulmates and their divorce served as the catalyst for Tai not wanting to talk to his soulmate.

Love triangles are not my thing, especially when there are related people in them, but that cute moment with Lomfon and Tai was so pleasant. Lomfon was so smooth and expressive with him it made my heart flutter a little bit.

I'm looking forward to and also dreading the inevitable miscommunication, misunderstandings, and angst that will result from all of these hidden truths and the love triangle that they seem to be setting up.

Still enjoying the series! Loving the little moments! However, some thoughts I had during this episode:

I feel like we're supposed to just accept that Jeng is a domineering, controlling, and uptight person but I really don't think that's getting across. We have all of these characters telling us he's these things, but I guess I just can't buy into it. He may be a little forthright and blunt but as far as I'm concerned he's not nearly the kind of man the show wants us to think he is. Besides that, change takes time and Pat doesn't seem to grasp that. His thinking is very black and white, immature, and static, but it emphasizes the age gap dynamic so I'm trying not to let it bother me much. All of this focus is on Jeng having to change as a person, but I can't wait to see Pat actively recognize his own shortcomings and behaviors and evolve more. Or that we'll soon see him accept criticism better than he does. He's a bit of a brat, which, again, I kind of like for the purposes of the age gap dynamic.

At the moment it just feels like Jeng can't win no matter what he does. It also feels like he's putting in the most work -- both for himself and for Pat. But maybe I'm just a Jeng enthusiast and apologist.

Now that things are moving along professionally, I'm looking forward to the inevitable increase in romantically tense moments between the main couple.

I personally love a good love at first sight moment. Also, I actually like Jaehyun, especially in episodes 3 and 4. The runtime just really hurts the flow of the story in my opinion.

That manager is a total creep and appears to be a predatory serial groomer. He's vile; it's all about the power he holds over the younger trainees. The problem here goes beyond having a cheating "first love," there's some major undiscussed trauma there. Seungjun deserves some actual healing and affection.

As much as I like Jaehyun, Seungjun and Hoyeon would also be a delightful pair. There's so much genuine connection and care there.

I'm trying not to compare this series with the others that I'm currently watching, but with so many that I'm enjoying right now it's a little difficult not to. That being said, I am going to continue watching this drama and I'm interested to see where it goes and who's going to throw the first punch at Joowon. I wish it could be me.

I am loving everything about this series so much. It's such a delight to look forward to every week. Food as a love language and as a vehicle for healing means so much to me. Minoru as a character is so incredibly kind, caring, and responsible. Yutaka is so cute, determined, and lovable. I absolutely love Tane - I think the child actor is doing a great job. The soft way that Minoru looks at Yutaka while he's oblivious fills me with joy. I also love Yutaka's coworker! I'm a sucker for awkward, shy interactions and slow, gentle burns so this show is like a feel good feast for me.

I'm loving this series. I think the pacing is fine so far, but I'm also a die hard lover of slow burn romances. It's refreshing to see the romance unfold and reveal itself in small glances and touches. Really gets the butterflies going for me. I also appreciate that the office/workplace setting actually matters. Pat is a little awkward, impulsive, and sensitive and I think it really works. It also highlights the age gap, which is also a fun element I'm enjoying. I do wish I could enjoy the second couple more. I'm hoping they grow on me as their story progresses. It's very rare for me not to latch onto the second pairing immediately.

Right now all I can think about is Jeng flexing his hand after Pat wiped it for him in the car. Small details. I saw somebody compare it to the Darcy scene in Pride & Prejudice and it's been dominating my brain ever since. The potential for reading Jeng as an Austen man.

Also: Pat looked so good in Jeng's clothes.

Haram is so annoying and unhinged I kind of love him. I'm interested to see how the obsession elements pan out. This is a mess and I'm definitely going to keep watching to see where it all goes. Also, justice for Pietro. That man was trying SO hard to salvage a terrible chemistry-less date and give it a chance.
