I think that, in a way, the similarity between these two dramas lies in the dynamic between the main couples. In both, the male lead and the female lead are playful, and they develop a kind of teasing friendship, a love-hate dynamic, before it turns into romance. I think Always Home is better developed in terms of both plot and romance, but The Promise of Growing Up Together is fun too and doesn’t fall too far behind."
