No, he was not pulled into the final loop. If you look at the captions for the text message Shi Qing sent Old Zhang in the final loop, it asks that they don’t turn the sirens on. The reason it was so different was because the text Li Shi Qing sent in the final loop was much more detailed with the instructions and informed him that they were Wang Meng Meng’s parents etc etc

hated the ending. felt almost like the "it was all a dream!" trope that I often see in older american shows. went from a solid 9 to a 7.5, would've been lower if it wasn't for the brilliant acting bc i hate the trope so much that it has left a bad taste in my mouth. don't know why no one is talking about this.
