Old fashioned cupcake is definitely my second bl favorite. As soon as I found out it was a boys love story with older men, I was surprised and when I started watching, I was even more surprised. The narrative, the acting, the setting all contribute to a perfect film. The kiss scene? I have no words to describe it. The tension, their breathing, the finger, everything. This was new to Nozue and everything was confusing in his mind. Not because the guy who was kissing him was a man, but because he was his subordinate and a guy 10 years younger than him. But in the final chapter, Nozue realized that he truly loved Togawa regardless of anything. I really loved all the teachings that this bl brought and even though this j-drama was released in 2022, I still continue watching it countless times. The manga (since the bl was based on a manga) has a second volume and I really hope it has a second season. The director and actors said they are completely willing to make this second season!
