1 day to go so excited for JSB & CDH back again at the store and I want Yeon Joo to realize what a b*tch she was
Exactly! I wanted Yeon Joo to apologize on her mom's behalf to Dae Hyun for fooling Dae Hyun's gullible and innocent parents like that but she actually acted all flustered. I hope in the future episodes we have Yeon Joo regret for breaking up with Choi Dae Hyun without hearing him out

I just finished watching episode 10 just now, do you people feel that the ghost of MY's mom haunts the OK psychiatric hospital and has possessed Ms Park Ok - Ran? Also I have a feeling of either of MY's parents being involved in GT's mom's death.

I am glad they dropped the whole plot line of Dae Hyun's dad wanting to go on a trip with his friends to see his old flame. Also I do no want to see more of Dae Hyun's sister, her scenes of her and her husband packing stuff from the convenience store into the suitcase were just too much

han dal shik is the worst character ever the writers should be ashamed of themselves along with the actor portraying…
I could not agree more, The way he is looked down upon as unclean and dirty by the other characters, the way he is the only one given expired food to eat from the convenience store , the way he is perceived to be Jamaican etc...Not funny at all

I have seen the first look and trailer of this drama and I am not elated. One of the poster of BR with ensemble cast is a complete rip off of The Fiery Priest poster
Why do I feel that Ji Chang Wook's best works are all in the past? I have seen quite a few of his previous dramas and most of them were decent, had a big budget and stellar supporting cast(Read Healer {His best work till date}, Empress ki, The K2 and even Suspicious partner). Unfortunately his last drama, his comeback after his military stint of 2 years, Melting Me Softly was such a dud and is considered one of the biggest debacle of 2019, which makes the really okayish Suspicious Partner - aired way back in 2017 his last best drama. Since 2017, KDrama dynamics have changed big time, For a drama to survive and thrive today it needs to have plot novelty, good acting, high production value, popular faces as main leads, stellar supporting cast, strong antagonists, music, collaboration with international online streaming services and what not...
It takes less than a week from airing for people to rip apart a drama and decide its fate. The ratings just nose dive and so does the buzz around the drama. Just look at the list of highest viewed /rated dramas of 2019/2020 like SkyCastle , The World of the Married, CLOY, The King:Eternal Monarch, Itaewon Class, Secretary Kim, Vagabond,Memories of Alhambra etc. Compared to them, Backstreet Rookie which is convenience shop story looks dated...Something which could easily pass off as a late 90's or early 2000's drama with just better picture format.
I am not not against modest budget dramas, Modest dramas with simple setting can excel if they have their heart in the right place eg : When the Camelia Blooms
With so many dramas airing at the same time slot, the audience would go for a better drama than a better star (Melting Me Softly sharing the same time slot with Vagabond was the last nail in it's coffin)
The only good thing about the drama appears to be JCW (Just as the case was with Melting Me Softly), I hope this drama does not meet the same fate as MMS. JCW definitely deserves better
