I know there’s some kind of power struggle (like strongest ,weakest)in schoolsBut is bullying that severe in…
To put it simply, the bullying is very bad in many schools to the point many students have committed suicide or at least attempted to. Sure, some parts of dramas are somewhat exaggerated at times for the dramatic purposes, but the severity of bullying and cyber-bullying is an all time high. Many students have been beaten to death too by groups of other students. It's all because of the competitive nature that's instilled into kids from a young age, as well the notion that's practiced that if you're weak or a loner, you will be outcasted and picked up until no end. Standing up for others isn't always so easy because of the fear of being literally beaten, or even killed. It's been said to be a "public health concern". You can easily google many articles and reports that highlight the extent of bullying in South Korean schools.

Script and acting, absolutely phenomenal. The comedic element was too good and it was so refreshing to see this drama with this kind of concept. Kudos to everyone involved in this drama.

Regarding the ending, so many people are okay and many aren't. Everyone is open to their own opinions for sure. I personally believe that despite both souls being in one body, they were two different people. Sure their antics and behaviours at time complimented or supported one another. But I don't know how to ignore the ending with BH remembering that moment when King made the funny face to make him laugh. At that time, it was BH who was upset, not SY, so remembering something that subtle shows how much the King meant to him and how much the King affected him; when you are in love, you remember even the smallest things that person did. The drama also seemed to literally neglect the fact that BH was still present while the King and Queen were being intimate. BH was still there experiencing physical love and affection AND pregnancy. BH accepted that love and of course, he can't do anything about the pregnancy because he is inside a woman's body, but he stopped denying the feelings he felt. He accepted the changed and went ahead with it.

It amazes me how the voice-over changed to SY just overnight, and I could see that they were playing the safe route from then on. I am not surprised that they tried to play this as a platonic love or even brotherly-love as SK still isn't fully ready to accept anything remotely LGBT related. This is also in reference to the recent controversy with SBS for blurring out the kiss scenes in Bohemian Rhapsody - their excuses being absolutely ridiculous.

Maybe the voice-over change could signify that SY's feelings started dominating. But if that was the case, BH's soul would have surely fought at some point instead of just switching the voices like that. His own thoughts and feelings, if he was not in love with the King, would have to have come about. Saying that it's just SY's feelings over-powering is too simplistic here.

But this isn't just confined to being anything LGBT related (although it can be argued that the entire drama was practically queer bait - even the whole subplot with the King's friend and Kim Hwan) or the love or affection between the King and BH/SY, this is more about Mr Queen as a whole. I don't think that SY on her own would have been able to match against GQD. (SY attempted suicide for many reason's including not being able to handle the pressure of becoming a Queen, which absolutely horrible and I feel for her, I do, but given that state of her mind, if her soul was the one that was dominating, she wouldn't have been able to go against the GQD or even the members of her own clan). BH level headed with her and used his culinary skills to keep her at bay. That aside, without BH, the King wouldn't have learnt about the voting system, the exercises for the military, etc. BH gave so much more to the King and Joseon than just "love". BH was so much more than that, which is what I am not seeing people mention. He is Mr Queen, it was his life that went and changed in the end. The end felt more like concluding a love story between the King and SY that BH helped drive.

Also, it was really baffling how the writers did not for once tried to explore how BH adjusted to his life after all this. Before the soul-swap, he really wasn't that much of a great person, and I would have loved to see the change this soul-swap that bought within him in the modern times too. His experiences of getting the same treatment or witnessing the same treatment to women he gave before he changed, embracing the womanhood from the Queen's body and literally being affectionate with a man and developing feelings for him AND living alongside another soul in a DIFFERENT body... it's a whole lot of stuff to go through. I wish the effects of these experiences were shown more, as mentioned BH was Mr Queen, not SY.

Someone mentioned that KJH in a live said that the CJ/King loved the Queen regardless of the soul and while that is true to some extent, he noticed the changes within the Queen. The expectation of a "surprise" legit says that he was expecting SY to behave and act like BH - may be referring to the scenes where BH changed to be somewhat feminine and "obedient" and CJ questioned it, and when BH changed to being himself, CJ was relieved.

Nevertheless, the speculation of who the King really loved can go on forever, but I think BH truly was in love with the King. While I haven't seen the spinoff/pre-equals yet, the summaries from people saying that it shows SY and CJ being attracted to each other from early on - it just feels like them trying to forcefully justify that it was SY's feelings of love and that BH didn't have any romantic feelings for CJ - which is so not true, his desperation to be with CJ was shown in the scene of him waking up and running after being in a vegetative state for months - which was also not addressed.

Overall, I think it was a great drama but has some loopholes, as usual with almost every drama. All the actors did a tremendous job in such difficult conditions and bought joy to many people's lives in such a difficult time so thank you to all the staff. All in all, BH was I think someone who encouraged the King to be strong and supported him and loved him, alongside SY. While SY didn't do much herself and it feels like she's riding on BH's works, she was there all along and may have had some sort of influence in BH's decisions. Nevertheless, Mr Queen was derived primarily by BH and BH was so much more than a lover to the King, he essentially was the backbone to a lot of things.

Wow, they really said we are gonna make this heterosexual NO MATTER WHAT, with this ending -_- Wtf was that??!…
I completely agree. While we do see that SY's soul was residing in the body as well as BH's, I think people are forgetting that he also experienced everything alongside her. This isn't just about the love aspect between them, that aspect, can be a shared feeling among both BH and SY but no one is mentioning how much and what BH has actually done while being in the role of the queen. SY, in her original state and soul would have been no match against the GQD, BH found a way to keep her at bay to some extend. The King wouldn't have his exercises for the military he was planning without BH, the royal chef wouldn't know of the recipes without BH. It isn't just about love but MR QUEEN as whole. While I do believe that both souls being together in one body made both of them stronger, I still feel like they were two different people, and there was no way that BH's voice in the Queen's mind just disappeared overnight and that BH's own soul and voice never voiced over.

Title Busted Season 3 Spoiler
I've loved all the seasons of Busted so far, in the overall sense, all were very enjoyable.

But, I have so many questions about this whole season. Where is Yoo Yeon Seok from season 1? Why did Seunggi only trust YJS? why is it only 8 episodes? where is Kim Min Jae? Who was the recipient of the email? Why is PMY a potential criminal and why would she want revenge? Why does everything feel so choppy? some of the cases don't feel as smooth flowing as in the first 2 seasons. At times, it also felt like so much focus was on having a lot of "guests" casts. The guest cast is extensive and all amazing but the focus seemed a lot more having a lot of them instead of the actual storylines. I loved the DID storyline from the first episode though, really went thought out, although calling detectives over stolen food from the fridge was a bit like excuse what? but it's Busted, so it goes, haha.

The episode with the fake detectives could have been fleshed out a little more, so many things just felt so abrupt, maybe that was the concept for this season? The cast members are great ofc, always funny and doing their bit tremendously. I just have so many questions about the script and story of this season...and why would you leave it at that cliff-hanger and call it an open ending?

I don't know if I'm the only one who is feeling this way. I felt like it was rushed in some parts, just to reveal this whole potential criminal list, which they don't even refer to as 'project d' until the end. As much as the twist of ISH being the godmother is great, how did she gather all these people for the organisation, how did she get access to the project d files? Why and how did ABH become her shadow? the list of questions keeps getting longer really.

So the news is that from ep2 onwards, the subs will be done by the GDH (i think that's what the production company is called..correct me if I'm wrong). We'll have to wait for a while for that to be done and once they have the subs, then I guess it'll be uploaded on Kissasian and other places. It's only what I've heard tho. Meanwhile, enjoy the subs for the Ep 1 that I posted below :)
