i’m seeing some ppl get mad that a ROMCOM actually contains COMEDY… like what exactly were you expecting?? 😭 the FL enters a NOVEL, not a time machine. yes, things can be unrealistic because it’s a FICTIONAL world. it’s NORMAL for them. if it feels cringe, maybe that’s the point? it’s supposed to give teen fantasy vibes. just enjoy the fluff or move on. if you want heavy melodrama, this ain’t it.
this drama is fun, light, stress-free, and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. also, both seohyun and taecyeon’s characters are literally the same as their webtoon versions. so no, the acting ISN'T bad. that’s how their personalities are written. and about the makeup complaints? she’s from a MODERN WORLD. she does her makeup the way anyone from the modern world would. SIMPLE.
you don’t have to like the drama, but at least make sense when you criticize it. otherwise it just sounds… kinda silly 🤷♀️
i'm really looking forward to it. i love the chemistry between the actors. as someone who's read the webtoon, i can confidently say i’ll be watching the drama too. in adaptations, it’s normal for appearances or settings to change. what really matters is that the characters’ personalities and dynamics stay the same. from the teasers, it seems like they’ve stayed faithful to the original story. there're some scenes like the FL preparing her special shot, getting drunk from excitement, and spending the night with the ML. which show they’re carefully building the flow of the story. that’s what’s important.
some people might prefer a western version, but personally i think this version is way more interesting. we’re literally watching a story where someone falls into a webtoon. it doesn’t have to reflect korean history 100%,just like the western version doesn’t reflect western history either. for me, it’s all about the script. if the story’s good, that’s all that matters
