Jaemin is the real culprit here, biggest red flag known to me lol
Basically both Soo Hyeon and Jaemin like Daon but our pookie and dumb Daon like Jaemin. Soo Hyeon was Daon's senior in college and they were very close. Jaemin was senior since school. Since Jaemin is good looking and good in studies so he was praised so much by others and he still is wherever he goes for eg as shown in ep 3, offered coffee by his students (girls). No wonder his arrogance lol. Soo Hyeon is not the bad guy here in fact he was quite protective of Daon. He knew Jaemin is a manipulative and gaslighting bitch so he made a contract with Jaemin that they'll pretend to be dating in front of Daon, that way none of them will be able to date Daon. Jaemin proposed this thing to Soo Hyeon because that man believes"If I can't have Daon, I won't let Soo Hyeon have him either".
