In general, with all cdramas, there is a tendency to film everything they wish to and then rely on post-editing to cut the material down to the desired episode number length (after all you can't easily go back and refilm vital scenes if you need it).
From what I can see online is that the show was cut down to 32 episodes but the why or how I haven't been able to find (at least on english-based sites). It's definitely something behind the scenes like how long they have the airing slot and/or government regulation (currently the max episode number for cdramas is 40 episodes ---- only way around it is by having seasons of shows --- I also could not see the stated number of episodes they were supposed to have (just assumed I read somewhere that it would have been 40 so sorry about that)).
Either way, I found that the editing was fine before the bracelet arc and after. There we definitely lost some understanding of the plot due to more haphazard editing for that arc.
