I agree with fully with you. Its like they enjoy leaving the viewers sad. I don't get it. I am one of those viewers who won't watch a drama once I Know it has a sad ending. Anyway I interpreted the ending as happy. So of all the things LLH had on his body it was just the sweet bag the beggar saw to take, how about the fur coat? In my opinion he didn't die, he wanted to be found thats why the beggar had that bag. LLH left a clue for FDB. After FDB memories of being a detective the directors followed with the sweet bag clue. In addition DFS and FDB rode to the same place like they had received info on where he was. DFS is a boss he sends his minions to find info first before acting , he waited until he had factual info before he left to find LLH.

If you mean the box with the broken gifts that belonged to SGD, at the bottom was LXY name in about 4 places, crossed out. It showed the anger and hatred SGD had towards him.
