the story was great, but i felt like the interactions between leads were so limited. Even the interactions between CZ and her friends took more chapters than XYL's.
I especially love the last chapter, it shows that XYL is truly CZ's husband. Even though CZ was an empress, had so much power, and had a strong will, i could say the only person she could rely on was XYL, like he was the only person could make her put her guard down. When their lil daughter mischievously running away from home, all of ppl refused to defend the daughter bc they were afraid of CZ. The daughter knew that XYL was not afraid of CZ, trying to get his protection, but XYL refused to help his daughter, instead he told her to receive her punishment from her mother. as if XYL lets his two important persons in his life to solve their problems with him watching from aside ahahah
finally i finished reading the novel. after comparing with some vids from reuters, they changed some plots. I think in the drama leads have more time together than in the novel
GYZ is the most soft spoken husband, despite being in high tension life, he manages to be gentle to his wife, never using high tone when talking with her, except when he forbid his wife for getting involved in his mission . This drama has limited skinship but the soft spoken husband makes fall in love.
