Wow. The first part of that final episode I thought the writer's balls had grown to the size of grapefruits. It was an interesting development but ultimately inconsequential, and the show would have been better without it. Apart from that, and some pacing issues near the end, it was pretty much perfect.

Lacks the subtlety and the style of the original. It also gets preachy at times and some of the cases are pretty boring but on the whole I'd say it's 'good enough', mostly due to the efforts of the cast.

I wish they made more...

This is the ultimate TV adaptation of the novel. There's no reason to watch the others.

I normally hate episodic dramas with no plot but this series was exceptional. All the stories were very memorable and emotive. After finishing it I felt completely satisfied.

At first I thought this was yet another drama starring Kimura Takuya as Kimura Takuya but his acting in the last few episodes was great. There are a few minor flaws but the ending was so good that I couldn't give it anything less than a 10. Bravo

This is probably the worst drama I've ever seen. Not only was the ending a complete cop-out but everything leading up to it was done poorly. Sports? Not a single game was even played. All those training scenes were a chore to sit through since it was so painfully obvious that nobody put any heart or effort into them. I could go on but I'd rather not waste any more time with this show.

Huge disappointment. Cast was forgettable and the case was boring and slow. That ending confession took around 10 minutes with the guy pausing after every 2 words, what the hell were they thinking?

First 3 episodes were great, but ep 4 sucked so hard I don't even want to bother with this anymore. I have no patience for sympathetic portrayals of dirty, corrupt politicians.
