well since ur talking abt real life, lets look at it from this point, suppose ur that victims sister/family and u have no idea of how justitia or demons do things, lets say u don't even believe in hell or God, wouldn't you feel unsafe and left absolutely disappointed to see a criminal not getting the deserved punishment? to see that the very law u trusted to take care of you just lets the mf go?
the ML here is feeling for the victim's family as a fellow human and bcz he doesn't want to see the law disappoint others like it did to him or us (yes we all know law is crap) is why he stops her.
the point of the show is their opposing views which r both true to their perspectives and how they come to a common ground. Now i can't make u like him but i don't think his character is unreasonable and tbh im hoping to see some actual badassery from him in the future as well lol

yes i did read the whole argument, and i only responded to the ones that didn't feel right w me which is the part where u asked why the victims couldn't be satisfied. and yes Daon may know she is a demon, but that doesn't mean he can comprehend everything, he's still very much a human w a very humane mind who rationalizes everything the human way so we shouldn't call him stupid or wrong for that
