Yes this is what I think too. I just hope that we didn't get all or most of the big RaySand moments in the trailer, that would suck.

I think Mew is still the main character, but they don't want to show too much and spoil it, so we get the filler characters (for lack of a better way of putting it) in the trailer.

Okay I know what this says about my priorities, don't @ me, but...are Sand and Mew the only ones who don't get to at least make out with half the cast? Come on, Mew I kind of understand, but Sand? Really?

Idk, but to me it doesn't really look much spicier than The Warp Effect was. And that is on youtube under an age restriction.

Ha yes I think that they know exactly what they're about putting a lot of RaySand stuff in the trailer. It's smart. I just hope they didn't spoil us on *most* of what's gonna happen there.

Yes exactly. I have seen 3 Will Be Free, NLMG and The Warp Effect and so I feel like I have an idea what we're gonna be getting into. Still plan on watching Mama Gogo, The Player, and Gay OK Bangkok at some point.

But what I will say from what I have watched is that he is very very good at pulling a realistic, grounded performance out of his actors. Situations might be absurd but the characters tend to feel like real people. And I like his messages about sex work, discrimination, etc. I fully expect there will be some of that here. He just hasn't failed me yet.

I am trying not to expect much out of this when it comes to stuff like characters or couples, but I can't help but expect that it'll be a good ride, just because Jojo is at the helm.

Ha, yes, I mean so far my favorite bit of the trailer is Ray telling Sand that he's not allowed to walk away so you know, let that say about me what it will. We love a mess (and by "we" I mean "me". I love a mess).

I have been wondering if it's just marketing, since First and Khaotung seem to be extremely popular. I still suspect Mew is our main main character, so the story will revolve around him and his relationships.

And the thing is, I trust Jojo. Yeah it'll be messed up and toxic, but it'll also have something to say. It's not just drama and toxicity for its own sake (not that that is necessarily bad either, sometimes you just want the trash and that's fine). I haven't watched a ton of stuff by Jojo as of yet, but everything I have seen is engaging and (mostly) grounded in reality. The characters at least feel like real people, even if their situations are extreme. It's half the reason I'm so hyped.

And if I'm wrong and it does wind up being drama and toxicity for its own sake? Lol, I'm still in what can I say I love a good mess. :D

If you think that it was the sexual content that made those stories bad, then we have nothing to talk about.

If you don't enjoy, I do hope you just stop watching. There's nothing to be gained from making yourself watch something you're not into.

I can't help but wonder if First and Khaotung featuring so heavily in the trailer is a ploy, haha. I just thought the story seemed more like Mew's but they certainly aren't showcasing that here. Then again it's just a teaser of what's to come, so who knows.

I for one am very excited, and a little surprised to see things that I offhand thought might be the case being implied here. That always jazzes me.

Honestly the only thing I'm bothered about is the week to week wait. It's gonna be torture. And I still expect no endgame ships, even more so after that mess (well except maybe the lesbians. They actually looked fairly happy and stable). 😁

There's always going to be a place for cute BL. This isn't the place, however. This is supposed to showcase a certain type of lifestyle, which yes, heavily features sex.

If it's too much for some people, there's all kinds of cute stuff that's airing right now.

Oh, I think Tin sees it. More than once he's pried at Charn because he can see that there's something there beneath the surface, I think that after the fire he's just too mad to remember that / doesn't feel like giving him the benefit of the doubt, and I don't blame him. I do think that Charn was scared for Tin and grandma after the dog and blamed himself and so did what he thought would help them in the best way he knew how. He believes that playing their games is the only way to beat people like the senator. I'm not sure that's true, or if it is, the price is very steep.

Your second paragraph: yes! Thinking about it I agree. The two of them are representing extremes and they need to meet somewhere in the middle, or maybe closer to Tin's end but still not so far over.

I wonder if we're gonna see a shift soon, since they only have eight episodes in which to do it. They both ended the episode thinking hard about the other one's POV, so that says something.

I have seen on tumblr that one or both of them might be on the OST but I dunno where that info is coming from. I don't speak Thai so all my info comes second and third hand lol.

Guess we'll find out eventually - it wouldn't surprise me if he was singing but it also wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't. Can go either way. :)

Mostly because Enigma wraps up next week, which would leave the 12th open for a new show, and don't they tend to drop trailers about 2 weeks before the show airs? Although who knows, I hope we get DR soon too!
