i loved this. it reminds me of those fluffy, heart-warming, 2012 kdramas. i felt reminiscent whilst watching this, yet despite this, the drama seemed so refreshing and new. i loved the storyline and acting, but what i loved the most? the characters. they all developed into such inspiring and lovable people, and i adore the family; woo jin, seo ri, chan, jennifer, and hae bum + deok su! (oh, we can't forget about fang and chick junior too lol!!) i love jennifer. she is one of the most amazing characters i have ever seen in a drama, and she is the sweetest too. ye ji won was perfect for this role! <3 i think this cast is perfect. i cannot imagine anyone else playing any of these characters (especially chan lmao; i feel like they created his character with ahn hyo seop in mind!!)
i'll miss this drama because of how happy it made me feel. it was special, and i love the family. it wrapped up nicely, so i don't think a season 2 is necessary, but if there is going to be one (i doubt it), i wouldn't mind because i love the characters so much!!! would highly recommend, especially if you're a drama noob :D
If you're looking for a drama that touches heavily on beauty standards in an in depth light, you're looking in…
my point is that romcoms, or comedies, etc can still have serious elements in them (especially if a part of the story has a serious aspect to it). this is almost entirely based on a boring romance, and a bitchy second lead imo :) that's why i enjoy the side characters much more (but not enough to make me like the drama) i also think that the drama is quite overrated because of how it's lacking in everything :)
those product placements are disgusting tho...why not just promote a more healthy and natural approach to a healthy lifestyle/diet? also, many weight loss beverages (e.g flat tummy tea) contain appetite suppressants, so even if they claim to contain the right nutrients, the truth is that many of these products are harming rather than helping. studies show that these types of products are some of the leading causes of eating disorders, and it makes it even worse since popular people (e.g kim kardashian) are promoting them
also, i haven't watched the last ep yet, but i hope they don't just leave soo ah as she is. she needs help. she has eating problems, and probably mental problems also
ahh really? i find their acting really stiff and boring, but i respect your opinion too ^-^
ngl, this had potential, but there are too many flaws imo. they act like preteens starting high school, and the acting is so...dry??? LMAO idk how to explain it xD i don't want to say emotionless, because they do have SOME emotion, but im soo hyang looks worried half the time or is stone-faced, and cha eun woo? the boy is cute but shouldn't be getting lead roles lol also, certain things in this drama just annoy me e.g how slow the story is and how slow and expressionless the leads are - it takes kyung suk 9307509372 years to say something lmao
also, the product placements??? what a mess. how contradicting lmao.
tbh, i'm only interested in hyun jung, yoo eun, the girl with guy friends (i forgot her name lol!!!), tae hee, and ye na. other than that, this drama is mediocre (in my opinion) :/ i feel like if the issue of beauty standards and plastic surgery is going to be addressed, it should be done in a more serious manner; beauty standards exist EVERYWHERE, and they impact lives in many ways. this touches on how low self esteem and plastic surgery impacts your life, but it mainly focuses on a stupid romance. how lame. i don't see why real issues have to be resolved/can only be interesting with the addition of romance
wow idk why i kept typing, but i guess i dislike this show a lot. to anyone who feels ugly, inside or out: you're not. just do you. wear what you want. do what makes you happy. get those degrees. nail that job interview. stay healthy, but eat your fave foods. you don't have to adhere to these stupid beauty standards; they're always changing anyway (people used to make fun of my "bigger" lips, and now they ask me who my plastic surgeon is lmao). ik that most of the people who preach "love yourself!!11!! do what you want" are the same people who judge others, but learn to not give a damn. it's your life; don't let others dictate it.
(sorry for the cheesy speech loooooooooooool)
if you have read this far, here's a hug: (>o-o)> <3 <(o-o<)
What ? Did his character die because the actor had personal issues ? Or it was just the plot because I was actually…
kim jung hyun had to leave because of health issues. he has a sleep disorder and an eating disorder. he finished filming some scenes, and then left. i read somewhere that they edited the script, so perhaps he died in the drama a little earlier than he initially should have
Hi! Where did you watch ep 3 subbed please?I think you should give it a chance, it might get interesting.
i watched it on dramahood! https://kdramahood.com/home/ i gave it a chance, but i just didn't enjoy it :) however, other people are enjoying it, so i might pick it back up if it gets better! :D
soo ho died. my heart hurts. i'll miss him so much :'( when ji hyeon started crying because of his death, i couldn't hold back my tears ;-; whyyyyyy
kim jung hyun nailed his role. although i'm sad he left the drama, i'm happy that he's taking the time to take care of himself. i hope he recovers soon and stays happy and healthy
the story, editing, and even characters are a flop . it's so messy, and despite the fact the so much happened, it's still not an interesting show imo :') honestly, it seems like a joke; idk why choi jin hyuk chose to do this xD
watched 3 eps...guess im gonna drop ._. (i hope it gets better tho because i wanted this to be good!!!)
this drama is heart-wrenching. it's so difficult to watch this because i just want the best for soo ho and ji hyun. the last eps were so heartbreaking. i hope soo ho isn't dead...that would be too cruel. i want him and ji hyun to live happily, and then expose the truth. ofc, he will die tho; it's inevitable.
kim jung hyun's acting is on another level. his is one of the best, if not, THE best, actor out there. i really hope he gets well soon and lives healthily and happily.
the first ep was alright, but quite dramatic lmao (SO much happened in one ep) xD however, the editing (esp of the fight scene) hurt my eyes lmao - the fight scene was terrible...like how did they think that was good??? the truck of doom? check! amnesia? check! (though i haven't seen much of cinderella amnesia tbh) i hope the storyline doesn't turn boring and TOO predictable. it's just going to be so boring if he just starts remembering her after she appears, and then their cheesy romance develops, etc :/ it's fine to have typical tropes in a drama, and i don't mind them, but they have to be done well since they're so common and overused. i really like choi jin hyuk, so i hope this is refreshing and actually good! :D
i didn't enjoy the first ep (which sucks because i was really excited for this). it was overdramatic which made me cringe, and the acting isn't the greatest. it feels like a makjang drama tbh :/ idk if i should drop it
i really hope jong hyun gets well soon. he has a sleeping disorder, and an eating disorder. also, not long ago, he deleted his instagram. i don't want to jump to conclusions, but i really hope he is okay. i pray that anyone with any problem gets well soon
i'm so attached to all of the characters right now zdjhdkgh they're too cute!!! the family pictures were adorable normally i cringe at romance, but they're just too cute! the characters are so sweet <3
i also really love the vibe of this drama; it's refreshing, and kind of feels like a kdrama that could have aired in 2012 (which isn't a bad thing!) :D
