the ending of today’s episode connects to the last scene of part 1’s finale and fills in the missing pieces. the director did mention that we had to be patient and stop assuming things (which paid off) but it’s such a gotcha moment to those annoying viewers from part 1 who couldn’t keep their mouth shut and complained nonstop even after we were told to wait and see.
exactly 💀“it’s just acting” yes and that means i can’t be bothered about it? it’s not as if we said you’d be crucified for being okay with a minor & an adult playing lovers (you do you) but damn don’t get so defensive if someone doesn’t like it
don’t worry i felt iffy about it too. though it wasn’t so much about the actual pairing that bothered me but rather the chemistry (which i agree was great) couldn’t blossom in full potential because it was so clear she was basically a teenager and he a grown man even in appearance lol
Song Zu er still not convicted though so there's still possible that will be released unless she really did the…
sidetracking a little but this is killing me 💀 can you imagine discussing about when a drama would air & someone goes “yeah it depends if the main actress gets blacklisted for tax evasion” … only in cent
can yall just leave the fights on twitter/weibo ffs. i love reading the discussions and theories here (& on tumblr - there are really amazing metas there, especially on direction + colours in the drama!) and they shouldn’t be buried. i’m not someone well versed in how fans treat chinese idols but these people are acting how kpop stans treat line distributions lmfao. like i genuinely don’t care about who contributed more to the heat index or whatever i’m here for the plot 💀
as someone who holds someday or oneday in high regard (it's actually on my all-time favourites list), i initially had reservations about the prospect of a remake. The original was exquisitely crafted with a unique and intricate storyline, making me question the necessity to make another version, especially one produced by netflix 💀 perhaps it’s because expectations were low, but to my surprise, it’s a rather enjoyable watch with pleasant chemistry. While it falls short of perfection and can't hold a candle to the brilliance of the original, i appreciate how they tried doing it justice anyway. I genuinely believe that it had the potential to be a better received drama if it weren't already burdened by the reputation of its well acclaimed predecessor.
(+ i can never bring myself to dislike ahn hyo seop and his acting no matter what lol. both of them did a decent job imo)
yea no some of yall need to go outside, touch grass and maybe get a blind date to release pent up loneliness? this is a fictional story set with characters that aren’t real and hasn’t even been finished yet. i understand the frustration and people are free to share opinions but there are like. no real stakes in this 💀
to put it in the most brash way possible: unless you happen to know the writer personally and saw a different script none of the others did, nobody knows what would happen in part 2. there’s no point attacking people with different opinions or outlooks. janghyun isn’t going to come out of the screen thanking you for kissing his ass and neither will gilchae magically turn into a puppet for viewers to get their self insert romance on. alright?
personally i expected that sort of ending and tone. kdrama writers will never change lmao 💀 i’m actually more surprised about the reactions because knetz are not happy about it. the posts by mbc are now flooded with angry fans asking if ahn eun jin would even be the main cast for the 2nd part. the drama is trending as usual but for negative reasons this time round. i think the writer might have tried to provoke one of those climatic reactions to gather anticipation for part 2 but it kinda backfired.
