Actually his mother was trying to report the victim for extortion but ended up getting the police to investigate her son. She probably didn’t know about his evil deeds.

I know death penalty is unlikely. I just think he deserves it. Raping someone and going to jail for 3-10 years is just a joke. Also, Kris is most likely detained because of the victim under 14 because raping the other victims were hard to prove. As for the drugs, it was used for raping.

Most of them were 17,18-19. But there was one girl who is under 14!!!! That’s why he got detained. In China only sleeping with girls under 14 is illegal regardless if she agrees to sleep with him or not. Over 14, it isn’t illegal if they consent. The other girls did not report him at the time of the event, instead they were deceived by him thinking he would take responsibility, making it harder to prove that they were raped.
