I giggled at the don’t cry song every single time - it’s a mockery song lol. But the actress is really good at acting whatever crappy character she was given. Her character is consistently the same strong, stubborn and decisive princess. I hope the writers give her character growth and justice to fight back and stand up to both crazy brothers

Yea it’s terrible that kick was violent. She was truly his enemy. I get why he was trying to punch her out to get her to release her bite, but in the heat of the moment of anger and pain he lashed out with a very hard kick. He also yelled at his soldiers to not kill her when they all rushed in to kill her. He had a moment of sanity and intelligence that the battle he lost and got injured was full complicated plots & schemes. That was the reason why he kept her alive. I also think he admired her as he described her vividly to the portrait artist what she looked like. He has
already fallen for her.

Yes he’s acting mysterious and he has a controlling aura. He kept on interfering into her life and helping her with her career. He seems to appear at the right time even when FL looked so relieved when he appeared at the condo viewing with the mom. He’s definitely had her followed and keeping him informed. So much hints given away. Remember in the first episode he gave a warning hint to FL that he has informants. Also on their first interview at the garden , he already knew she was scheming and called her a great actress. I think He already knew what’s going on and about the lies. . He has a lot of red flags with ulterior motives. I think he is a cold and calculating man, and found the perfect woman. He really likes her and wants to hook her into his web. I think she will slowly realize that he already onto her deceptions and lies.

I saw a Douban rating for UTS2 is 6.8 , is this a good rating? I can’t believe we are on episode 22! We only have 6 more episodes left, it’s going by too fast, So sad wished it was 40. So episode 22 theme is Oediplex complex .This story is meh for me plus I thought Oediplex is more of sexual obsession with the mother. So I don’t think this is the right concept plus and the whole IVF story is just so icky. Sorry I am so glad this crime story is short. Don’t get me started about genetic dispositions. I know where they are trying to go with this - as in foreshadowing Shen yi may be born with criminal genes and triggers could bring out his evil side

I thought the cardboard figurines would be shown somehow as imaginary figurines in the mind of the killer. too bad they did not do that.

I think they want to keep the show airing longer because of promotions

Haha i know what you mean about age gap. Gosh I am getting old! 3 yrs shy of 50. But still a child at heart. I love that you are being honest I know exactly what you mean about no meaningful communication plot It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Go East female lead was annoying in the beginning. I don’t feel the chemistry too between the Main Leads. But i could ignore the flaws to just enjoy TJC’s acting. .

TJC is very good in UTS2. He’s a cute meow meow and I can’t wait to see his dark side and how he will fix it.

I remember that TJC said he wants to try out different roles to explore new growth and discover what he can do. He wants to challenge himself. You don’t want to typecast him in a role with recurring theme. Look at Chen Yi - he seemed to be extremely popular in historical costume drama playing pretty much same type of character. TJC picked each role with a purpose in mind. For love me love my voice - he is so gorgeous in this show with such beautiful singing ranges. Hey wanted to try ancient style ballads and he also has voice dubbing skills he wanted to showcase. The drama is so sweet, fluffy and dreamy with no angst or villain plots. I loved it that I can enjoy it and I was smiling way too much and this never happened to me before . Yes the story sounded like what a 14 yrs old would write lol. Who cares , I’m in love with his voice, his gentleness and doesn’t hurt to see him as my dream bf that will never exist in real life. Also i loved him as Yuan Mo because he was actually so funny and I enjoyed seeing him being bullied haha. He acted so pitifully good! The storytelling is meh but TJC really helped save this drama from being extremely bad. Under the skin is amazing - crime thriller mystery drama is my thing! I’m so sorry that you are not able to enjoy diff sides of TJC - I encourage you to be open minded!

it definitely had some hilarious moments and I am so glad for it. This show is a combo of Bones, Law and order and it has some elements of Dexter - how main character can go on the dark side but i hope Shen Yi won’t go to Dexter route. Yes you prolly can tell these shows I mentioned are used to be my favourite American shows.

I agreed it wouldn’t air otherwise . I am so glad it’s not BL and it doesn’t need to be. There are deep friendship, suspenseful story lines and superb acting to keep this show interesting.

I don’t know how Chinese idols do their solo concerts either but I am sure Tan Jianci’s first solo concert is the most unique and spectacular I have ever seen! So sad that i could only view snippet of videos shared by fans on twitter. I’m from Canada and for some reasons weibo link won’t load on my browser
