There is a scene where his childhood friend was sick, so he held onto her and hugging her in front of maids, servants and others. Which is a sign of disrespect especially when he is already married. She had to cover his actions when it happen, even though it bothered her. He was too stubborn to try explain why he did it or give her any reason to trust him. Instead, he stay quiet , which hurt her and made her lose her trust in him.

The story started off as they hated each other due to lack of ML not expressing his true feelings back then which cause misunderstanding to the FL. She only did what's right for her when she felt that ML still had feelings for his childhood friend. ML never said or explain anything to her.

Someone made them both turned against each other. Clearly, at one point they actually did like each other. If you want a easier plot than don't watch this drama. You can't seem to understand how the situation came to be. The FL is playing a complex character.

This drama is funny and enjoyable. Gives me the old Chinese classic comedy. It's quite refreshing in a way.

WJY's emotional acting during the performance really captivate the trauma she went through. She nail that scene. LYQ playing as the ex-husband is actually so heartbreaking. He so good at conveying remorse, grief and guilt at the same time. While WXY on the other hand, so sassy when it comes to others' sadness especially the FL and the ex-husband's relationship. Not to be mean or anything, but its funny if you watch it and realize he makes funny remarks or use their situationship for his own benefit.

The drama so far is good. I just wish the transition were a bit more smoother because I feel like they cut out a lot of scenes. However, everyone's acting is so awesome. From heros to villians, all have their a-game acting so top notch. This is my first time with the FL and she is killing it. And, god bless, ML is like my weakness. LOL! He is so handsome and im dying from his handsomeness. Please give me more of him.

I don't understand why so many people criticize her so much especially her looks and acting. Like, can't you just be a girl's girl. If she is happy with the way she looks than that's fine. The only thing I would be concern if it's a life-threatening situation where she isn't healthy. The only criticize I have, is her being too underweight while wearing a lot of heavy clothing which can make you feel very stressful. However, that goes for all actors and actresses. As for the makeup and outfits, don't blame her when its the makeup artists and the outfit artists that is lacking (not her fault).

And, acting is a lot harder than people don't think. People are wired to have a default face expression. And, that default may express very differently to others. For example, some people irl have resting bih face, but that doesn't mean they have bad intent. It takes awhile for an individual's to grasp facial expressions from their normal default expression. I think JJY is understanding this better from her previous projects which is good. I like her villainess acting since she can make that resting bih face. LOL!

ANYWAYS! I love the drama so far. Pray we get a good ending that's all I am hoping for.

I suggest you go read some history before saying that. The Japanese back then were gruesome towards other Asians. In addition, Japan never knowledge any of their wrongful past events that they did onto others. Don't go blindly stating something you don't put much time to learning other than saying random stuff. It's very ignorant of you. The Chinese and Koreans hate them for a long time and they have a good reason to. You sound really salty over this drama with no knowledge of Asian history or lack of understanding of foreshadowing between the two main leads' relationship. Just go watch some simple children's happy shows like Dora Explorer maybe that'll suit your taste of learning something atleast.

Btw, go rewatch the drama and pay attention. I'm dropping this topic since you refused to see facts shown in the drama. I don't like wasting time on someone that can't see the facts the way they are.

1. She literally threaten Zhou Yin Zhi [Sergeant of Xingwu guards]
in the beginning about killing his horse. She controls this guy throughout the series until later in the end.

2. She was still toxic towards her half sister and blames her for taking everything from her. However, when talking to her half sister, she realize her reasoning was wrong. It was Wan Ning's fault in the beginning that teared the family apart by switching them at birth.

3. She literally tries drowning the one of the studymate, You Yue [Second daugther, Earl of You] in the Imperial Palace. This is not something you would say that isn't toxic. That's literally trying to kill someone too. Yeah, I say that person deserve it for doing the same thing to You Fang Yin [Illegitimate daughter, Earl of You] but still that is toxic.

Also, You can say that you don't like how XW treats women. But, have you considered how JXN has treat certain female characters like crap?

I'm giving you facts that happen in this drama. She herself is still toxic in the present time. So why are you defending her? Does everyone also have to tolerate her toxic behavior the second time? You can't say that everyone should tolerate her when she is still being toxic. That just being delusional.
