That's true. He wasn't introduced at all in the first episode, but Albert was. Normally you meet the ML right after the FL, but this guy didn't appear until ep 2.

​I just don't like that he chose to save his job and career instead of siding with the FL. He didn't have the same sense of justice as her from the very beginning. That will probably change and he'll help her with the undercover mission, but still.

I just finished this series. It was a decent drama, although it contained minimal romantic elements. I appreciate the series' somewhat campy nature, it was very funny.

Seriously, the second male lead syndrome hits hard in "Last Summer", he totally stole my heart! 😍 I was so invested in his storyline, even more than the main couple at times. Can't wait to see him get his own leading role; he deserves all the spotlight. Wishing him all the best in his future projects – I'll be watching!

The second couple was totally the highlight for me, and the townies added so much charm. Aaaaand I think I caught a severe case of second male lead syndrome. He was just so charming and his storyline was way more interesting. Honestly, I was rooting for him the whole time. I need to see him on other productions now to heal a little bit 🤗🤭

I really gotta stop reading comments on MDL, I thought this drama was awesome! I've seen a few rom-coms from 2025, and this one's the best for me. It's a more mature drama, about trauma, healing, and bonding, and it's a bit of a slow burn but really nice to watch. If you're into fluffy, cliché rom-coms, this TV series isn't for you, honestly. This one's more mature, and there aren't many classic romantic tropes and themes that are popular in other rom-coms. So if you're looking for something familiar like staring at your loved one while they're sleeping or, I don't know, taking care of a wound 🫠, this drama really isn't for you.
For me it's the best rom com drama of 2025 (and I finished dynamite kiss just yesterday, and watched moon river)
