I think it's not possible to enjoy a drama like this if you get invested in the sympathetic characters a lot. I treat this show as a comedy with dreadful people who I love to watch tearing each other apart. Do Ra's mom's insane villainy is ridiculously funny to me.

I have hope that Do Ra will break the cycle on her own this time, otherwise the amnesia plot would be for nothing. Since she has no memory of her former life and received love from the grandma, her psyche is completely different. She's stronger now imo. I agree with your comment. Honestly I haven't seen the humor everyone's been talking about. A couple of drunk hijinks do not make a dark comedy, this show had no actual funny scenes yet. The ML being happy about his wife's eventual death was not funny at all, it only served to make his character more morally grey than he first came across that's all.

My only criticism rn is the overuse of blurring and glamour glow effects, other than that it was a nice start to a drama. Well acted all around and no cringey scenes. I could really feel Hyun-Woo's frustration with his wife.

I noticed the fake crying as well. Her eyes didn't well up at all, you could see it was artificial tears. NIW was superior in his emotional scenes compared to PMY who's supposed to be more experienced.

This drama also had a slightly older audience so it helped with the maturity of the comments imo. There were ageist comments about Lee Ha Nee at the start but they disappeared quickly.
