I guess that's part of the charm with this drama lol

It's refreshingly good. The plot is nothing new but the acting and the chemistry between the whole cast makes it worthwile. It's a soft melodrama.

I'm at episode 11 and they're giving a huge press conference about excessively bleached linen lol I wish it was some sort of food poisoning incident so that would make more sense to make it bigger news, but hotel towels, really? lol

Could you tell me when the tension starts?

I just feel bad for the actors, the writing is atrocious. The drama had a somewhat promising start but went downhill. Dropped.

The 2ndML definitely overtseps his boundaries as well. It was not his call to imply that FL should choose career over the baby just because he has feelings for her. He should have respected her choice no matter what.
Reading the text might be excused to a certain degree but I disagree answering the call was okay. They are not close at this point and he tells the caller not to call after a certain hour and even goes as far as to imply he's her "boyfriend".

I don't like that the ML is reading FL's messages, answers her phone and acts like her boyfriend behind her back. He's been overstepping a lot of boundries and seems to be getting away with it. I'm considering dropping this show if it does not improve next week. The humour in these last two episodes was also not landing for me, too juvenile and cringey imo.

Yeah he was abusing his position to bully an employee for personal reasons. I did not like that the show made light of what he was doing. That was NOT romantic or funny.

It improves a lot in the second episode.

To me it looks like he lost some facial fat, he used to have fuller cheeks. Still very handsome nonetheless but yeah, he has an uncanny look here. The insane skin smoothing and blurring doesn't help either.

The plot sounds exactly like the 2014 drama You are My Destiny, it's just that CJH is the main lead now instead of the second haha. I love an old school tropey kdrama so I'll be watching for sure.

This has zero to do with Victorian era, the costumes are complete fantasy.

I thought that baseball games ruining kdrama broadcasting schedules was a thing of the past but I guess not.

The romance feels very old world to me, courteous and gallant, and so pure. It's definitely sweet.

Actors using their own voices instantly elevates my interest in a drama, I hope the end product itself is as good as the trailer.

Ooooooh I love the leads, both great actors in their own right with different styles. I can already imagine the sparks.
