Well I'm used to the drawn out lovers' confessions thanks to the telenovelas of my childhood so I won't be discouraged by a mere couple of episodes of longing and pining! The whole cast is delightful to watch including the villains. Zhang Ya Qin who plays the princess is one of my favourites. She never overacts, which is rare in cdramaland. I will be checking her resume for sure.
He's cut of the same cloth as his sister unfortunately, insecure and childish. It's good and consistent writing though since they're both products of a terribly disfunctional and toxic family situation. Hopefully the brother can grow out of it but the damage is done.
This princess making me rage fr. All that for a man who don't love her.
She's both deeply insecure and arrogant due to her social position, a deadly combination. Torturing Mudan is her pathetic way of trying to control Liu Chang. I like watching them both go crazy though, they're fun villains, not to mention their scemes push Mudan and JCY closer hehe
BECAUSE subtitlers are usually volunteers. the makers aren't making it for international audiences and don't care…
Yeah I know the subbers are volunteers, at least Viki's I believe? A paid service having volunteered subbers is a ridiculous concept to me. Streaming platforms should at least receive a script of, say last 4 episodes, so they can get subtitled quicker. What they have right now is a weird business model.
I don't understand why expensive dramas like this aren't fully subtitled beforehand, they clearly have an international audiance and it would boost the drama's popularity even more.
This is the first drama that I've been continuously checking on to see if the release date is set yet. July (if the rumours are correct) can't come soon enough!
The information we curently have on Baek-ho's past misdeeds paints him in a pretty bad light, almost unforgivable even. To me, he seems like an awful person with no way of being fully redeemed in the eyes of Mi-kyung, though I still want to hold my final judgement until I've seen the last 2 episodes and find out how the writer's going to untangle this mess.
oh this ep gave me a headache bc how stupid they made haeseong look in the last minutes... he clearly heard myeongju…
Acting as a lone gun and not asking for help is one failing of JHS and he pays the price for it. It's the first time he directly asked for help from Su-ah at the end of the episode and I think learning to lean on the people around him will be part of his arc.
I can't understand their relationship, how did Baek Ho fall in love with Mi Kyung? Just with a kiss?! They didn't…
Physical attraction can spark up a relationship pretty fast, I've seen it a lot in real life. It doesn't always work like getting to know the person first and then falling in love.
