If you're a fan of any of the screenwriters works than don't watch this expecting an experience that's similar to watching those shows. I did and was extremely disappointed. While I personally prefer the writers other works more, this show did have its moments of frustration and awfulness but the parts that were good always made me stay for more.
Edit: The show did meet my expectations in the last half which I thoroughly enjoyed.
10/10 but one scene made me rate 9/10**MAJOR SPOILER READ AT YOUR OWN COSTso basically the whole story is amazing…
Literally just came here to vent my annoyance at this. I can understand where the writer is coming from. Unfortunately regression is common amongst recovering addicts so they probably want to go for realism or maybe have that one subplot that's gonna break everyone's hearts for emotional value. Either way I was incredibly heartbroken. Especially when we didn't get closure about his future, it's like they're hinting at a destructive cycle.
I'm rewatching and I still dislike the female lead as much as I did the first time round.
Yes! I thought that I was nit picking but I can't shake the feeling that her character (or lack thereof) is so one dimensional and incompetent. I'm only on the fourth episode and the story is amazing so far. I hope it's enough to keep me hanging on.
