I see what you mean~ esp if the korean production focuses on marketing the actors instead of their story. I remember…
City Hunter, Boys over flowers, Mischievous kiss? They've been done before, but as always, the Kdrama way. And i think this is where they have the hit or miss. They like 'basing' it off of a plot from another platform, but giving it a kdrama touch, losing some of the original plot of the manga/manhwa.

I understand what you mean! and most kdrama adaptation are like "adapted" from the Jap version. But I see Manga as a source of good plots and giving them to kdrama, who lack good plot flows would be good. Jap rarely make live actions anyway, (Only when the fanbase is large.) and it's sadddd hsgdhjsdj

I also think that Lovely Complex and Death Parade would be perfect for korean production, I can already imagine…
Esp romance with sad plots, geez, hits you right in the kokoro

And I think the character "soul" is dependent on how the writer presents them, I've seen great ones, tho there are some shallow and casual presenting, actors who perform better can pull it off~

I agree with you that if Japan and Korea joined forces they would be able to produce some wonderful live versions…
True~ Esp the sad romance ones, but imagine and collab with an action or thriller, I think both aesthetics from both countries can create an amazing drama~

As a fan of a lot of jdramas, this post is pretty sad to read in some ways lol (cause Japanese source -> kdrama…
Oh no, why? I'm a fan of jdramas too~ and it definitely has its own charms..
And that's one of the problem, it's japanese sourced but they don't get an adaptation at all. and considering K drama is growing and just producing more, I suggest them taking stories from manga, animes~ It's not because jdramas are bad bad, but kdrama needs more great plots!

I prefer Japanese mangas with Japanese characters stay in Japanese media. They're just doing it good and japanese…
You wouldn't believe it if I say I'd love to see my fave anime into Japanese live action, but, THEY DON'T GET ONE HUHUHU

and exactly at the cliches that's being reused! their production is really good and they lack better stories!

And considering Kdrama is growing faster than most media, I highly suggest they take the stories of those that already have a fanbase, and do it right. Manhwa, manga, anime are just the best mediums with the best stories..

i think i would enjoy some korean adaptations of manga, esp some of the thrillers, but i also usually tend to…
I see what you mean~ esp if the korean production focuses on marketing the actors instead of their story. I remember Liar game, which was greatly compared to its japanese live action. I say they both have charms of their own, but considering squid game type of dramas, signal and beyond evil, I say I'd rather have a korean drama production, since I've seen them adapt it better.

Totally! Death parade is one of my favorite thriller anime and the games with people revealing their nature, the plot is just so good~

eh, i don't see why Koreans should make live-adaptations from mangas/animes. they've plenty of good "manhwas"…
I agree that Manhwa is a growing medium, if not a large one already! I read manhwas too, and stumbled upon alot of good ones! I prefer historical ones as of the moment, but have read thriller and action ones as well~ It's not because manhwas are lacking, it's because live action for manga is lacking! Manhwas are already getting adapted into kdramas! But I think I can only count in with my fingers the great manga that have been adapted, and it's sad :(

I've actually always wanted Death Note to get a kdrama adaptation! Glad this article exists bc it's like my thoughts…
YES! Death note is one of the best thriller manga I've read, and there's something about K-drama production that just feels right when take on a thriller. The aesthetic and actors alone, woo!

She's a great favorite, and it's a fun article, except is it necessary or relevant to quote her weight? Isn't…
Hello, If it seems irrelevant and insensitive, I'm very sorry. I put it in with the thought that weight is just information. I understand that it's effects could be everything to someone! I already contacted one of our editors to have it removed, Thank you for your concern!

I have never connected to her, I have watched her dramas and songs, for me it's a mistery why she is so popular…
I think it's really her personality. She can be seen as sweet and polite but also a deep person in terms of her musical and acting works. She writes most of her songs and have beautiful voice. You can listen to her music and NOT be a fan, but when you get to know her, you will fall for her! that's what makes fans stay in her fandom!

one of the reasons why I love her is her lyrics in her songs resonate so much, that I want to talk to her about it.

Koreans adore IU because she is polite to her elders, normal people, and seniors in the industry!
