Can I just say, I love the fact that in the show they acknowledge that this is time slip and that it is a pretty common trope in dramas but they still used it? The crew absolutely knocked it out of the park. It makes me wanna shout at the people who put it down and tell them that there's nothing special about the plot, and even the show acknowledged it. So the fact that it's soaring right now is cuz of the execution, the actors and the actresses, their chemistry...they took something normal and made it extraordinary. I'm so proud of them and so in love with them.
LMAO my eyes are bloodshot. I personally don't like watching things on 2x, it takes away from the build up of suspense so I watched it at normal speed....which also means I definitely sat on my couch like a gremlin for like, 17 hours straight
gosh I really binged this show in one day non-stop. It was so good, each episode had me sobbing, cringing, and laughing so hard I fell off the bed. I haven't experienced a drama this good in a long time

Gonna keep this as a spoiler...but as a bit of an afterthought, I did enjoy the fact that there was a twist at the end of each story. I feel like it wrapped up each mini story very well and am excited to see if they ever take this further.
This is actually quite a cute show. Each episode is a new unrelated story but the overarching theme seems to be brotherhood, friendship, and life. Zhang ZheHua and Zhan Xin do an exceptional job portraying the variety of characters that appear. Despite being slightly confused in the beginning, I did come to love this. There are moments where I cringed so hard I fell out of my chair, but there are also moments where the short stories truly touched my heart. It was quite refreshing honestly to see a production like this, where they gathered a bunch of "smaller" actors, many of them from Super Sketch Show too. It felt to me like the overall aura was very comforting and cozy, especially without the presence of any big names. This may not be for everyone, especially those who like to find logic and keep a storyline, but I think it was a good production.
I just wanna clarify a plot that some people are calling redundant, the part where the crippled prince tried to take over. This is a personal opinion, but I think they included that to show that a) the new Emperor and the Empress aren’t as useless as the previous king and b) the recurring theme in the show is that both countries have run out of money. This plot was more or less so for them to be able to “banish” the crippled prince (post mortem) and liquidate his assets to fund an army. This way, they stick true to the story and avoid plot holes.
That really was A Journey to Love. It was a journey for our amazing characters, but it was also a journey to love from me to the entire group. I fell in love with the princess, with a heart large enough to fit the world, a princess who wanted to be strong enough to protect all those around her. I fell in love with the young Yuan Lu, who knew his time wasn't long, but wanted to make sure he enjoyed every moment of it. I fell in love with Qian Zhao, the quiet yet reliable guard who, despite keeping it all buried deep within, cared the most for his comrades. I fell in love with Yu Shi San, who feared being tied down, but he himself could not help but create an unbreakable bond with those he encountered. I fell in love with Sun Lang and his strength, but also his heart full of love, especially for those with fur. I fell in love with Ning Yuan Zhou, a man who tires of the world but will unhesitatingly throw himself back into the life that betrayed him for his brothers, his family. I fell in love with Ren Ru Yi, a woman who only knew how to kill and how she turned into a woman full of happiness and life. This was truly an amazing story, well written and well executed. I'm glad my 2023 year ended off with such a masterpiece.
I want to cry, I just rewatched a trailer for AJTL and I am kind of terrified of what is going to happen to YSS. The growth of each and every character in this show is really making me fall in love with them all and I can't stand the idea that any of them will/might get hurt
I love that this show is just everyone in the group shipping RRY and NYZ. The producers have done an amazing job fleshing out the relationships between everyone in the Six Halls which gives our heroine a chance to learn about a life she never had. And our princess is my pride and joy, I will protect her to the ends of the earth.
I am here after MLC and am so excited for this! It has been on my watchlist for some time now but I went on a dry streak and MLC reignited it and I am now finally going to get to experience this masterpiece.
Question! Does anyone who's read the novel mind telling me how the novel and the show differ? I remember seeing somewhere that the ending was changed but I am curious to know how. Thanks!
