From EP 36, I think in a different way. I don't think the storyline is too desperate. The last scenes:
1. Xing Zhi Zhi is wearing the same appearance he had when he was kidnapped. He is a doctor, so I think he was possibly kept alive for medical or surgical purposes. (But his appearance doesn't look old, even though he had to wear it for at least half a year. But it's okay, budgeting for only one scene.) 2. In the last scene, someone has to pay for the broadcast screen in the background. Those screens show evidence that only Xing Zhi Zhi and Qing Fei know the meaning. If Qing Fei was awake and not an actress anymore, I don't think any third person would pay for that. 3. Lastly, I think it's possible that Xing Zhi Zhi thinks Qing Fei is the most important to him, so he wants to propose to Qing Fei again as his first priority after regaining his freedom. To summarize, I think he just got his freedom, then he comes back to China without showering or changing his shirt or anything. He finds Qing Fei first (to let her know he is alive) and sets up the surprise then let her know that where he is. Then the story ends.
If you have chance to watch this and "Friend Zone" is your ideal genre, then please see this comment. "Dont watch this!! and wait for the new drama of ml and fl instead". After i watch it, I think that, atleast, it should contain some of the good feeling when i watch Friend Zone but this drama make the good feeling of Friend Zone almost gone.
