I have seen thai idol/actors on social media being harassed for having relationships and for being friends with people outside ships - I think with the tpop and bl overlap this show was pointing at that specifically and I have personally seen a ton of that with fans and worse now than it has ever been.

I'm friends with so many cherry magic jdrama fans and they almost all universally love the thai adaptation. there's always gonna be someone who needs to complain.
