as someone who's watched 1200+ kdrama, i can assure you that this is not a good one😁

just one of many amazing things in this drama.. the FL n the sidekick can accomplish what most people need months n years in just a matter of hours n days😂
the sidekick is so capable, a genius.. The same goes for FL, who can do anything just by memorizing books... from recognizing people she has never met before to digging frozen ground with her bare hands without getting hurt at all... truly extraordinary books...😁

it trully amaze me how people actually bought that lame excuse of "the foster father made her read n memorized many books" to justify every nonsensical thing about her character.. The books that scholars must study are mostly about principles, not politics 101 or scheming 101. That is why they need teachers to guide them, or meetings of scholars to discuss and exchange ideas. And of course, there are no guides about important figures in the capital and their complete CVs among those books..
And a village girl who had no education suddenly behaved perfectly like a noble lady... Was it because she read books too? Meanwhile, noble families spent years educating their daughters, and even hired special tutors...

a do over, like blossom n story of kunning palace.. so all of her knowledge are basically justified, made sense, unlike this one..but the most important thing is, i don't get why they bother to claim that this is an adaptation, when the only thing they kept is the name of the character.. originally there's no mother, ML is a prince, the villain is the queen dowager.. completely different story..

no it didn't.. he grew up gradually in the novel, took him years.. he's a fierce teen general in the battlefield, but just xiao qi in front of his first sister in law for 3 yrs or so (it's been a long time, can't remember the exact detail)..

14 eps, I'm done.. despite the not that interesting story, n the fact that i don't like gongjun's su muyu, it's actually still watchable, i mean, at least the visual is great.. but that annoying bgm.. damn, it really ruined everything for me.. can't take it anymore.. totally dropping it..

They should give extra points to the choreographer in dance position team... n Yumeki's choreography, wowww.. I think it's the best choreography this season..

I've never read the novel and after watching it i was like, wtf, what the hell did i just watch? live action or not, this is sucks.. I have so many complaints (but not in the mood to rant).. what a waste of time..

This is a mess.. the novel itself wasn't the best, but usually the drama ver is better.. but nope, not this time.. they change a lot of things but certainly not for the best..
The main problem is, they removed the Rebirth theme, but they failed to weave the story properly.. they bend logic n time lines.. a lot of things felt nonsensical, seemed sudden n forced..

I already feel that Beat will be in trouble the moment they pick the wrong person in ep 1... I'm sorry, but that park ji hun guy really doesn't deserve to be in the show...He's not as good as the other members, but he keeps slacking off n that affected the overall mood of the team..but I'm glad to see Woongki again.. i really wish he can make it this time.. he was one of my fav in the previous show.. N after 2 episodes, he is also my fav in this show along with JL..
i think both of them deserve to debut..

When you watch a foreign drama, especially those with historical settings, you can't judge it with your own cultural values n modern mindset..
In Chinese history, each era had different customs and rules...n they weren't always as conservative as it's generally thought to be...
In certain era, it's not unusual for royalty to have political marriages, then not share a bed with their legal spouses unless they want offspring. It's also not unusual for princesses to have bed warmers or have fun with male courtesans...
SRQ was a LR bed warmer...But more than that, he's her childhood crush, her friend (she believed that they're on the same side) n also her advisor, because there's no denying that SRQ is a smart and insightful person.. she had a legal husband, but also had a "eunuch" as her closest confidant... the rules of the time didn't prohibit it, cos they could only cuddle at night, not produce offspring that would be a "disgrace", so whatever..
PWX, in general, was not looked down upon either, cos from the beginning, their marriage was just a political marriage arranged by the emperor to balance the power... n later on, as prince consort, hi used his talents, influence n resources to arrange a solid foundation, gather followers and climb up to become prime minister to balance and suppress the power of noble families which eventually led by LR..
so it's more than just a simple love story..

in the "confession under the rain" scene he told LR that the plan he showed her on their wedding night was a test, a push, to make LR realize her true feelings... but the way I see it, at first he was also confused, cos he has a lot of regrets in the past n he thought that LR was never love him n will never love him like she love SRQ.. so at some point, I think he did have the intention to reunite LR n SRQ..
