Actually the first 10 ep kind of not really has a good mark when its first aired as well, its public opinion not…
I think it's easier to understand and enjoy the drama if you have read the novel. But if you don't like you don't like it, don't force yourself to like something that might not be to your tastes. A drama being popular and having a good rating doesn't mean that it will be to everyone's tastes. We all like different things. E.g. Gobin is one of the most popular dramas out there, but it bore the hell out of me.
So I pretty much gave up on having a life and marathoned this over the last few days. I was really excited to see how they will bring the novel to life. They obviously changed certain things but It was still a very good watch overall. I loooooved the guy playing Wei Wuxian. So cute and adorable.
Wait hold up, the drama I have been scrolling past on this website the past few months is the live version of one of my favourite novels out there? Well damn I guess I'm going to binge watch it then.
This could have been so much better. I really liked it at first. Plot was interesting and I was really into it. I love thrillers, I love romance and I love it even more when the thrillers have romance. I was especially excited about this drama because Joongi was in it and I thought that I finally found a drama of his that I actually liked. Then plot started to not make sense....and I just couldn't finish it. Now I'm beyond disappointed because yet again I couldn't make myself finish Joongi's drama. The guys is such a great actor, his performance in The King and The Clown is the reason I even started watching Kdramas. I wish he picked his dramas better. Iljimae is the only drama of his I actually liked.
Re-watched this recently. Forgot how good it was. I love it when there is more to the plot than just romance and love triangles. It was great all the way through and it didn't drag. It kinda reminded me how scary media can be though.
I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. I absolutely hate love triangles but for once I didn't mind it. It was nicely tied into the plot and didn't feel like it was used for unnecessary drama. It wasn't perfect but it was a really enjoyable drama overall. And if someone could get me a man like Gook Doo that would be great.
damn was going to watch it but I HATE love triangles so I'm going to skip it :(
I feel the same way about love triangles and it took my friend a year to talk me into giving this drama a try. 9/10 they are the reason I drop the drama. This one is ok though. It's there but it doesn't cause unnecessary drama or cause the plot to drag. Out of all love triangles in dramas I seen (and I seen a lot), this is one of the most well done ones.
I tried to like this. I really did. I really liked Joo Hyuk's character and wish there were more characters like him in the drama world. And in the real world tbh. I loved how encouraging he was towards Bok Joo and just a nice wholesome lad in general. Bok Joo's crush towards the Doc made me cringe too much though. I just can't deal with second hand embarrassment. Then there was the whole ex-girlfriend thing. Girl had some proper stalking issues. Like dude maybe get a restraining order against her or something. I'm just kinda over the ex-girlfriend plot lines. Can't dramas just focus on the relationship between the leads without the unnecessary drama created by the jealous ex girlfriend/obsessive girl for once? All I wanted was a cute wholesome drama. The cringeness and Shi Hoo made it impossible for me to enjoy this drama though.
Dropped at episode 23. I was enjoying this in the beginning. It was cute and funny and was everything I wanted it to be. Then Yoo Jung showed and it just started to drag. I was all here for the Bong Hee and Ji Wook's romance but couldn't help but roll my eyes every time Yoo Jung did talked. Then I just grew bored. Even my never ending love for Ji Chang Wook wasn't enough for me to finish this drama.
For a drama with such promising synopsis this was really boring. I really tried to like it but gave up after 8 episodes. The chemistry between the leads was non-existent and couple that with an age gap and a slow pacing you got yourself an unwatchable drama. Having said that, I loved Reaper and if drama centered around him instead, I might have actually finished this drama.
I seen this so many times but I still love it just as much as the first time I watched it. Obviously it's not a perfect drama with lots of cliches, but boyyyy is it entertaining. I basically marathon it every time I'm feeling down or stressed.
I really don't understand why they need to remake the drama. I mean it's fairly recent and as enjoyable as it is, the plot is not that exception or outstanding? The casting doesn't seem that great either. I feel like 9 out of 10 Korea remakes Japanese dramas, I find them really disappointing so I can't say that I'm excited for this one.
I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would, although it did take me a couple of episodes to get really into it. I really loved the fact that Toru was supportive of Natsui doing her own thing.
Many years later and I'm still bitter about the lack of Sawada Shin in Gokusen 2&3. Anyway, I never fully grew to love Matsumoto himself. Just don't really like him as a person (or the person he appears to be) for some reason. Big fan of his dramas though.

But I'm just here to say that I loved him as Wei Wuxian.
