we are getting more in the final few eps, in ep 12, we see things from ML's POV and learn abt his backstory.

i think it will happen in the last two eps, after they properly confess to each other because they lowkey skipped that phase even though they have feelings for each other

actually, i think xu mu either didn't really mean it, or she didn't realise it, but in my perspective, the true reason why she agreed to his marriage request was because 1) she does have feelings for him 2) for practical reasons, he does make a good partner. i think in the last 2 eps, we will get a belated proper confession and some kisses.

i personally think that we will be getting this belatedly, when they finally become upfront and expressive about their feelings for each other, in the final two eps

it's a flashback scene, of their first meeting which FL forgot about. we are going into ML's backstory at this point, and learning more about how he has always felt about the FL

personally loving the drama a lot! green flag ML who always seeks consent and cares for the FL, and both leads are of equal standing! both are equally matured and competent as well. ML can come off as tsundere, but this is attributed to his backstory, and he is never ever toxic. cliche tropes if you consider the enemies-to-lovers trope, contractual dating, CEO-like ML, coincidental meetings, but everything was done in a way that is reasonable! i love how natural the acting is, and both leads have the visuals too!

i gets why people get confused because sometimes it feels like scenes got skipped, i'm not sure if it's the editing or if they didn't film certain parts, but overall if you watch the drama consistently you are still able to follow the plot! (in my case, i bingewatched, and i did rewind to the last few secs of the prev ep if i got confused) for a 14 ep, 33 min per ep kind of drama, i think the pacing is decent and the quality is there. it's pretty much a feelgood, simple kind of drama without too many misunderstandings, even if there were, they get resolved pretty quickly.

also, not sure if this is a spoiler, but the fact about how they just suddenly got married, i would say that even though the FL claims that it's because she's okay with marrying anyone, i honestly don't think that is the case, because you can see how she rejected the past blind dates. while she didn't admit it, i would say that the reason why she agreed to his marriage request was because it was him, and she was okay with him as a partner. from how affected she was by qiao nan, we can all see that emotionally she likes him, and rationally, personality-wise, ML makes a good partner too, from how caring and thoughtful he is. given her age, she would want to settle down soon too if there is someone who is suitable. meanwhile, ML popped the question seemingly as a dare, but it was really more of a way of giving her security too, that he is serious about her, and it isn't just a show. of course, it does come off as sudden, but with 2 eps left, i believe they will focus more on them properly establishing and expressing their love for each other. it's just that this is coming after the marriage, and not the usual way where they confess before marrying.

i think in the final two eps, the FL will finally find out that ML has always liked her, and she will also express her feelings for him. and likely after this belated confession, we will get more lovey dovey scenes (esp kisses which everyone has been waiting for) although they have always been lovey dovey and acting like a couple without openly confessing! i think we are still lacking kisses for now because it was more of a naturally somehow they got together as a married couple, but afterall they skipped the proper confessing phase so it might feel weird and awkward for them to suddenly start to do more intimate things like kissing. if one hour seems too much for an explicit confession, i'm expecting that there might be drama either from the abusive dad who wants money from the ML, and the girl who got fired from FL's marketing team.

totally agree that it’s true to the spirit plus similar in the ways that matter!! about the soundtrack, I THINK THE ENDING OST WAS THE SOUNDTRACK OF THE ORIGINAL ANIME RIGHT? i watched it a suuuuper long time ago so i can’t remember details well but i think the part about EMMA too, on top of luguang’s white hair feels like a tribute party to the original :”)

towards the end of the final ep! don’t want to spoil too much but it’s after he reveals his secret to cheng xiao shi! it wasn’t a very big secret or anything though!
