My top reasons I choose Kdrama over Jdrama - 1. Licensing - there just aren't legitimate sources for Japanese…
It's such a loss for Japan.. I really wish they will be more open about exporting their dramas and music overseas, like Korea. They really have the potential. Please, Nippon!

OMG this article is EVERYTHING in my head! This is so true. J-Dramas are so underrated. Sure, K-Dramaa are on the roll at the moment but I'm fumed when people around me tend to 'nah why you like that, not popular' like : So. What.

What I want to point out actually is why J-Dramas are less popular than K-Dramas, nowadays. Japan, imo, is too petty to share their art internationally. They don't make theirs accessible by lot of people, don't want to sell their music or dramas in International Spotify, Apple Music, VIKI, Dramabeans or even Youtube. But you can stream K-Dramas legally like in many places.

Second, they don't even try! I like TVXQ - and Tohoshinki, both are same group who have different name. TVXQ in S.Korea and Tohoshinki in Japan. But people who took interest on them rarely know their Japanese release bc their company in Japan wrote all the title in Japanese!! They even wrote the band group name in Japanese character too T__T It will be difficult to be searched by casual fans!! (Fuming)

Oh and what's with people said J-actors are not handsome?! Justice to my baby Fukushi Sota!! Heck, I think Japanese's features are pretty, they look unique and distinct. People really need to try J-Drama. What I'm upset about is the budget, sigh. True, some of first episodes of a K-Dramas look like a movie. Their cinematography is so pretty. But J-Dramas are okay. Oh, and the OST. One J-Drama usually only has 2 or 3 official OST, unlike K-Dramas. Since music improves the FEELS in the drama, I think that's a loss for J-drama..

I really hope you will catch up soon, Japan. I believe in you.
