Yoon joon annoys me many times. He's her friend but that doesn't mean he should meddle in her affairs. It's her…
Your opinion does seem fair but I think Yoon Joon suffered a lot from beginning till the end which was shown in a subtle way. He was the constant pillar for the 3 siblings and that never changed whatever he was going through which was also shown subtly. He resembled the main lead Han Dong Jin in many ways, mainly he was alone until the end. He was there for each and every one of them whenever they wanted him without any condition and expectation but it wasn't in vice versa. Even the female lead Shim Woo Joo who was his best friend never felt like she cared for him as much as he did for her. I'm not saying that she didn't care at all. There were instances where she cared about him, his opinion and showed his importance in her life but I don't think it was as much as he cared about her when it came to his personal matters. He listened to her every time, asked and checked upon her if she was okay but for once did she ask what was happening with him and he was okay or not? I never even saw a scene of her smiling at him till the end. Even though he accepted that nature of hers how would one feel when one's best friend doesn't even smile at him/her for once? Put yourself in his situation here. (It wasn't like she never smiled in the entire series.) He took the 3 siblings in when they were forced to leave their house and he even directly expressed that he was alone a couple of times. But whenever there was a situation of them discussing to leave his house and when they left, did any of the 3 siblings think of him being left alone? Nope! He was torn apart while protecting each of them, but when each of their truths were revealed he was the one who was treated harshly. It felt like he was always the giving one and never received an ounce of what he gave. Coming to your point, I do agree with it but I have some arguments too. Even we who were watching them found it annoying that he was meddling, do you really think he doesn't know that he may seem annoying to the female lead? He knows that but despite him seeming annoyed which may become a risk to their friendship he still meddled. That was how much he cared for her. Didn't any of us ever meddle in our best friend's life? He did point out the wrongs she was doing and she was about to do but has he been really able to stop her? No. When she did the wrong things did he scold or yell at her? No. He remained silent and still listened to her about what she had done and consoled her. He kept every word he has given to the female lead till the end proving his loyalty. In the entire series it was her life and she did what she wanted. She never followed what Yoon Joon said right? He took them in so he had to be responsible for them. Think about this. To me Yoon Joon has had his share of pain in the series which wasn't directly expressed. It shouldn't be compared to what the main leads were going through but it was different and he was the main one who suffered in his own way more than anyone.
