So far, he’s made major changes without facing the usual consequences you see in rebirth dramas; where saving someone means another person takes their place. I’m not sure this drama follows that rule, or if it’s just too early to tell. Either way, I’m loving this so far🎯
So far, I love the cinematography and the acting, but the story hasn’t fully tightened for me yet; especially with such an elite cast, so forgive me for expecting the best of the best. Since there’s a Part 2 coming, I’m treating this as more of an introduction and hoping the story really picks up later. That said, it all depends on how Part 1 wraps up. Fingers crossed it leaves me wanting more.
It’s unclear whether this involves one client or several, but Dawit may have interfered with Dr. Oh’s major client(s). For someone with such influence in the legal world to be this invested in Dawit’s downfall, it suggests a motive beyond simple professional rivalry. Given that Dr. Oh appears to prioritize his company above all else, Dawit’s principled defense of the weak may have disrupted a system that benefited him. We’ll see how it unfolds. It’s hard to believe the story ends next week 😫💔
Do they know their sweetness is deepening my smile lines? 🤭Guys, I feel good watching a well-written slow-burn romance. And I’m so glad we’re all noticing Yin Jie...she’s the cutest 😍 and the funniest 🤣Also, she’s so right because why would you invite a handsome friend when she’s about to pig out?? 😂
Just finished episodes 7 and 8. I appreciate how the show uses its platform to highlight the realities behind a celebrity’s life...the isolation, the pressure, and why some feel there’s no escape even when the law exists. Dawit’s point about the law needing “life” in it really resonates; it’s meant to protect living people. I also hadn’t realized how family ties can sometimes influence legal outcomes (happy to be corrected if I’m wrong). Every episode feels like a lesson in understanding human vulnerability.
LYS to Xigua: Take your pick. Me: 🎵 It’s youuuu, babe 🤭🎵
On a serious note, I love that LYS actually communicates...something Xigua really values since she’s very open about her feelings. After being hurt by a non-expressive guy, she almost lost confidence in being worthy of pursuit, so this is healing to watch. Plus, him giving her bigger projects to prep her as an heiress?(imo)Big win 💗
Episode 11 felt a bit long without Yin Jie. She’s effortlessly funny and always gives Xigua the best advice. Her college “friends” were… a lot to listen to. I’m ready for them to head back to Suzhou.
ZJM really nails the princess/nepo baby trope in a way that’s genuinely enjoyable. There’s just something about how she plays these roles. I loved her in ASOL, The Princess Royal, and now Shine On Me.
I’m really loving this show so far. If its main agenda is to create awareness about what people actually go through inside the courtroom, then it’s definitely working on me—opening my eyes to experiences from different points of view. Yes, some parts feel a tad exaggerated, but I’ll take that as part of the creative arc; after all, it is fiction.
And honestly, whoever thinks putting Dawit on pro bono is sabotaging him is failing terribly 😭 because, in my opinion, it’s only shaping him into an even better people’s judge. After that cliffhanger definitely looking forward to more intriguing cases next week!
It’s rare to find a lead couple that can truly do it all: cry convincingly, smile genuinely, and kiss passionately. Jack of all trades!! 🤭💗And once again the OST, But a dream by Song Sohee, at the end made it super climatic!!
Finally finished ep16! From the ending, I feel things are about to get intense, so I’ll put this on hold for a while and probably resume next week. But the scene where Jiang Mu is mistaken for a beggar was so random 😂
