aiyoo all the comments~ i read the novel before i watched the drama. the female character was written how esther acted. wei zhi is really cute, playful and whiny but also fierce in the novel. esther was perfectly casted and she did great in portraying the character.

you can say you dont like her voice but hating is too much because her voice is not that bad 😅 she's also a good actress. not mind-blowing and life changing but she's not bad like some of you are saying 😅

this drama isnt really that bad. it's okay. nothing spectacular about it. you can watch it to past time or watch it with less expectation, you'll enjoy it. or you can just enjoy for song kang's pretty face.

i tried watching this one because of the reviews and because the kid was cute but i really can't! i find the male lead acting awkward and though i like the female lead but not a fan of her character here. the editing kinds sucks, too. the shifting from one scene to another got me confused at times.

i think people should stop expecting a second season. after the drama aired, the casts and production acted like this drama never happened. lmao! ig their agencies just want their artists to stay away from the hate they got while the drama was airing. also, if you read the novel, they did the main story already and the international competition was really just an extended chapters.

it is based from a novel. i read the novel but idt the leads were frustrating tho :)

in the novel, dt & appledog really have their own storyline. since they already did GGS and did not incorporate dt & ad's story, they had to make a new plot for the two, otherwise it'll be just a repeat of GGS in their own pov. there were rumors that HYT accepted secondary role for GGS because right from the get go, there's really a plan to do a separate dt & ad's drama. =D

in the novel, dt and appledog's story is before & during HSY and TN timeline. i'm only starting the drama now so idk how much they followed the novel because if they did it is just GGS in DT & AD's pov ? so i'm guessing they changed a bit or a lot for this one.

i watched the prequel few months ago and was patiently waiting for the movie to be available with english. i got to to watch it today and i loved it! aside from being an ally i am also a woman so i was afraid on how they gonna address the issue. glad that it all turned out okay. the acting is kinda a hit and miss tho. there are parts that they did great but some parts were awkward. but overall it's a great movie.

i don't remember the last time i cried so much watching a drama. this drama made me cry and hurt for the characters sfm. T_T seeing comments that someone made a cameo but i haven't watched that drama yet so i can't join in the fun. so i'm adding it to my list. XD

he was sooooo good in life senjou no bokura. he was able to potray nishi's childlike personality without being whiny.

for someone who loved meteor garden, hana yori dango and a kdrama addict before it was cool, i was excited for this one when it was announced only to be disappointed. i couldn't get past the 1st episode and only managed to finish it because i watched it with my cousin (she loved it because of lee min ho). this is the worst adaptation! if you ask why they prefer this version, most of them answer it's because the male leads are all "good-looking" ? the acting is bad and i can't for the life of me why they managed to get the story cringey and ridiculous when all adaptation has the same source!

anyways, watch it for the eye-candy but other than that just go watch the other version.
