What the hell is going on? I know that both the mail leads can act well, but this is so wooden? I figured the script is just a bit old school, but the directing and editing really doesn't make you think they have relationship. The premise is great for a low involvement, entertaining watch, but execution is at 5. Such a let down.

This is really NOT a basic love story. It's a story spanning 5 generations... What you're asking is a major spoiler, are you sure you want to know?

IU plays 2 different characters. The titular character- aesun's- younger self and her daughter- geumyeong. The daughter has two love interests, not the main character.

i’m struggling to finish this drama omg i liked it at first but since they shifted focus onto the older actors…
You might feel a little lull at the beginning of their storyline, because we're not looking at the younglings we find adorable anymore. But give it s little more time and you will see the become precious parental figures to you.

dw it wont ruin ur experience. the drama can really not be predicted (my experience as someone who dislikes drama…
It's really not about the plot points but how its depicted and how it makes you empathize and learn from their experiences.

Wow the rating! Is it that good or jus something like lovely runner?
Lovely runner is like a lovely spring shower, and this is the raging, devastating monsoon. Positively sobbed my way through.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I started watching because of all the good reviews I read first. I don't…
I gave up- actually I just skipped everything except the 2nd CP, so I don't know what happened in the story, and right now, two weeks after watching I can't even remember what the story was about. Such a waste of potential chemistry.

If you find it nonsensical, then it's not for you. Different strokes for different folks, I always say. I suggest…
Yup, moved on already! :)

I'm on ep 6 and trying really hard to keep going because I like Bai Lu. I really don't like the cinematography and audio production, so its not even pretty enough for me to ignore the nonsensical storylines. I hope it gets better, but I really hope Bai Lu chooses a better thought out script in the future.

Review Persona Spoiler
okay so i have a question. in the first episode, turns out that the guy really is her father, right? don't you find…
Oh gosh, so sorry for the delay, but I only come to this site to read about shows that really really impress me- or when IU acts, yes I'm a fan- and neither have happened in a while.
I don't know if you're still wondering, but like you I was a bit weirded out by the ample "skinship" between father and daughter. I spent half the episode trying to rationalize it, with "maybe they're just really westernied, or maybe because there's no mom in the picture, they were close from birth..." Anything really, because it was awkward to see two people of opposite genders be so physically close and knowing that any sexual context is highly inappropriate.
But towards the end of the episode, I suddenly realized that this is a love story! IU's character is in love with Doona's. And the story was showing me how these different ways of love were not being represented in our media.
The director purposefully showed me overt affection between father and daughter, knowing that my mind wasn't open to the possibilities. I was so used to seeing male and female love on screen, I jumped straight to a sexual context with them, while it took the whole episode to convince me of what was actually on display.
IU's jealousy. And her desperation in the face of unrequited love with another woman.

This is what I think, of course, I could be wrong :)
