Xiao Zhan is overrated in beauty. His face and body are not well proportioned to begin with. Face too long, ears too big, shoulders too narrow. Legs too lanky, and torso too short. Nothing about him stands out, especially when he's not wearing makeup (did not recognize him). Apparently he only looks memorable in xianxia productions where filters and excessive make-up are used. But his acting skills are good, even if he sometimes comes across as too effeminate to me.
