Horrific film. Brings to focus that the victims of the Gwangju Massacre are not only those who were killed, but also those who survived with the emotional aftermath. Powerful performance by Lee Jung Hyun (who won Best New Actress at the Blue Dragon Awards) and excellent performance by Moon Seung Geun. (who won Best Actor for it at the Asian Pacific Film Awards.) The film also won Best Film at the Asia Pacific Film Awards, as well as several other Festivals around the world.

I just finished reading the book recently.... I only now realized it was made into a movie. Will Watch it soon. It will be interesting to see how it compares to the book.
