Noooooo... Ehy do people think that giving positive criticisms is a form of pulling a person down and lifting others up... I'm a former fan of his and his performance in this drama is very unsatisfactory... He made his fans feel like he only cares about money... There is no sincerity at all thats why I leave the fandom.
Hahaha funny... Just because the rating isn't align with your expectations mean that the sites rating is manipulated...
Are you even aware of the demographics of the chinese population? Most of the watchers are all from the working group ranging from their 20s-50s... There are a lot of romance dramas that were already released and they no longer provide new content to the public so a lower rating given to romance dramas are justifiable in the chinese community and most of the watchers are already in the ripe age of 25-40years old. They give more value on tv series with more mature content (not refering to xrated) and one that can give significant impact to the viewers and to the community... Even in idolizing celebrities,, face is just secondary what matters is personality, talent and skill... Having a great personality is the best asset that can attract domestic viewers in cnet.
well duh, that could be expected, every actor has his signature face expressions, I find it pretty funny, hearing…
After the episode was all released, I give this drama a second chance... But sad to say, I can't stand the plot, acting , etc.. I want to lie that this drama is also good and the performance is outstanding but I can't..I have already watch a tons of cdrama and this one isn't even on par with other miniseries/webseries (drama where the main leads arent even traffic stars or not that famous) .His face is rather stiff which limits the range of his expression ... I realize that in this drama his acting is a bit off aside from the kissing scenes. Watching his acting can make one feel that he is trying hard to copy his expressions as dongfang qincang... There were times when he unnecessarily squint his eyes even in a normal and relaxed conversations.. (Shiyan is not even a character who is too domineering, heartless, and violent as dongfang qincang) I believe that a relax/calm, stoic and empty look is better than dylans portrayal. And times when he is too soft making him look like gay... There is no consistency at all...I don't necessarily hate the actor but I'm not satisfied with his attitude and acting...His machismo is over the topped and as an audience I find it irritating.

and the two of you @Suz_suz and @phoenixfrost keep on guarding this page to redeem the image of this idol drama. The 2 of you are blinded... Douban rating is more reliable than this page rating... 4.5 rating is justifiable in terms of acting, plot, and directing... 7.8 mdl rating is still too high...Anyhow, congrats that you finish the whole drama... Finishing it at ep 6 is already a great feat for me.. I have more time to spread awareness here rather than finishing the entire drama.🚮
Dylan mimicking his Dongfang qincang acting is weird...🤣 I cringe everytime his face was shown on the screen... I think his trying hard to imitate his style which I find weird and too much.
The only way for qin junjie to have a traffic is when he create a rumor with yang zi... Wew! Using a lady to gain publicity is really trashy. I hope their relationship in the past is fake just for promoting their drama...
Yes this director always shoots at these weird angles and on his bad side. Unlike the LBFAD director who shot…
Actually this is a review from above and i agree to it... That angle is actually the angle that dylan thinks the best... I believe he is the one who suggest it to the director.
To be honest, after watching the BTS of OFL and LBFAD, i observe that dylan has weird and funny angles that made him look so gay whenever he acts prompting them to change the script in LBFAD so that they can hide those spots and angles.
Anyway he still has a long way to become a great actor... Now ot felt like it is just a streak of luck that he won the Young actor award in LBFAD... Yu shuxin should have been the receipient of that award.
Also, what's with all the camera angles always panning from under Dylan's chin when he make some kind of grand entrance? Not exactly flattering. There's always that low panning of the camera angle on Dylan and then a higher camera on Bai Lu.
Its a slapstick and I felt like the jokes are force which I find so cringey... the jokes are like starry love vibes which i found corny and not funny at all...
I also agree with this review above:

There's always that low panning of the camera angle on Dylan as if they are trying to just shot him at his best angles... You know, visuals are really nit the only thing that makes an audience want to watch a drama...
-I believe that the most important thing in a drama is the storyline and how great the acting of the cast is. Looks are just a bonus... Idol dramas is really not my cup of tea... So sad I have to dropped this early...
