In episode 3 toward the end 44:52, when she is dreaming, she sees the men in her sect. They tell her the Hengyang Sect's mantle must be passed down. Is that her sect? Just like LLtG, this one has me counting the hours.
At first she was conservative about sharing the bed but now seems very comfortable. Do we assume they have consummated because now he's sleeping with her and has a key to the house?
Overall I'm disappointed. I do love the leads and it was funny at first. But the story was mostly about the 2nd leads hot romance in bed. Then it switched to a family member psychotic behavior. There are pics of the wedding but there is no wedding. The last 2 episodes are wasted on the family member's redemption.
1. He's straight. Congrats to his fans! 2. No prostitutes involved. 3. In the past, both single. 4. He has a wealthy father to offer him support. Hope he sues. I feel rather sorry for the Chinese in China. Is it the latest Covid pandemic or Communist repression and control that the only thing they have is to express their opinions by gossiping?
It's not that I live in utopia; the west is going through fascism by merger of government and corporations. Just wondering.
I quit Netflix. Viki and Tencent carry most. Youtube and dramacool cover the rest. Already saw True Beauty and Mr. Queen in 2020 besides watching Chinese dramas not available on Netflix.
On episode 98. Has anyone noticed the mistakes at the Chairman's house? The evil man visits the house, walks into the house from a sliding door without anyone opening the door for him. The front door is not used. There was no sliding door to the kitchen. In episode 98, Kyung Jun walks into a room downstairs which is his parents room instead of going upstairs to his room. Can't stop laughing.
It's a refreshing break from Chinese historical dramas, which I mostly watch. 95 episodes were easy to watch. It's a romance, drama but I find myself laughing a lot at the predictability, the wealthy evil mom's expressions and some of the lines. "If you can't get a horse, ride a cow!" lol! My favorite actors are Baek Sung Hyun, (Jang KJ) for his portrayal of empathy and love; very natural acting. Lee Ah Hyun (Hwa Kyung), the wealthy dense daughter-in-law whose difficult household chores is shopping. And Yoon Chae Na the 6 year old daughter,( Mirinae) whose acting is admirable for her age and is adorable.
Episode 17: Hongdou has been very vague in revealing her loss and her best friend's death. When they are chatting by the fire, she lets Yao think she lost a lover. Am I mistaken, did I miss something or is it the translation? "My love of life," "she", said Hongdou. Does he understand that she is talking about a female friend and not a lover?
I'm a night watcher, but with this drama, I sip my coffee and watch it in the morning. I'm nostalgic for the village, the patio, and fragrance of the foliage even though I've never been to China. If I had joined the girls, I would have picked Hongdou's red dress. Janice's powerful flashbacks has me crying, Granny has me laughing in tears, the adorable children adding on to the gossip have stolen my heart and I love how each episode reveals a hint. Yao's smile is revealing, but today Hongdou smiled at Yao while he wasn't looking.
Just like LLtG, this one has me counting the hours.

for both genders in costume drama.
