y'all so lucky with netflix. In germany all kdramas are available after they are finished. so I never end up watching…
Same in Spain. It's an European thing or what? Haha. I usually wait till they are in Netflix tho. I want to give them "views" so they keep bringing new ones.
Is there someone in here is a doctor? Maybe can explain to me..SPOILERIs it really true for someone to awake after…
Obviously not. If you are in a coma even for a few weeks it's highly probable for you to have a very difficult time standing upright. This thing is all about "shock factor value > realism". I don't think neither the director nor the screenwriter are dumb enough to not know this. But this is, after all, fiction and drama. Create emotions in the spectator it's more important. The "wake up from a coma and run" is used in asian and western shows both, even famous ones like The walking dead (not a spoiler, it's the first chapter). I don't watch tv shows for realism tho.
Not gonna lie, i only ever watched korean dramas, but I wholeheartedly agree with the "Watching Korean dramas is like eating in a neighborhood restaurant".
Hahaha, i already entered the K-drama world in 2018 with the mindset of "drop what you're not enjoying", because I went through those stages but with books ( I read a LOT). I don't have as much free time as before, and MY hours are gold. The time i spend watching something i'm not liking i could be rewatching something i love or trying new shows. If i see potential i give them at least 6 chapters, but no more. And if i get bored, i don't care if there are only two chapters left. Drop.
So yeah, i drop like crazy. I completed 47 dramas and dropped 18 until now :D
The hard part is dropping the famous dramas everyone seems to love. I watched 12 episodes of Mr Sunshine before I accepted it was not for me and i was bored. This was just today.
I expected a disaster after everything i heard / read about this series, and it's actually... not bad. I'm not bored, and I like the characters, the cinematography and the action. It's not the series of the year, nor i'm crazy-feelings about it, but i'm entertained :) I don't feel the need to pick up my phone while watching, and that's more than i can say about a lot of k-dramas.
I am also a avid book readers, which ones are your favourite?
Wow such a big variety in books! To be honest i'm not the biggest fan of classics but i still read a few of them :) A long time ago, tho! Do you have a goodreads page? :D

Anything fantasy, dystopia or sci fi, and if it has romance, even better :) (about demographics, i read from middle grade to adult, so i don't really care about those labels)
I apologize beforehand for my grammar mistakes, english is my third language! :(
I've only been watching k-dramas for two years now, so i don't really have your problem yet. I like almost everything to some extent, and there are just a few i drop, but i think i understand your point, because it happened to me with anime series since a year back. There was a time where i watched animes non-stop, everything that came out like crazy, and i liked almost everything, but with time, you begin to see some recycled tropes and scenes and characters in that "media" and you start getting more picky and just watching and loving a few. I think that's something bound to happen when you spend a lot of years with the same "hobby" or "media", and i don't think it's a bad thing... it's just a change of heart?
For instance, six years ago i lost ALL my love for reading, tired of the same again and again and not having enough time (university) and a lot of things. As a result, i was more than 4 years without picking up even one book! And suddenly, two years back, i decided to read a book that caught my eye... and booom! I loved it SO much and my love came back full force and i'm back reading two books per week.
I hope you will be able to find at least a few more kdramas you love in the future!
