This series is a blast! Top 6 netflix shows in my country?!! Amazing!! I mean, k-dramas are not that popular in Spain yet, i've never seen one in the top until now.
If you don't normally get SLS, then I think you'll be fine. I think if you accept that in Kdrama the ML and FL…
I only got something close to a SLS once in school 2015. After a big soul-crushing disappointment with a book love triangle in my teen years I swore to never fall again in that hole hahahaha. Managed to do it so far.
Thanks for the warning about the future episodes :)
glad that you're enjoying start-up! these were pretty much my exact thoughts for start up as i was watching it…
Oh! I wouldn't say I'm disappointed right now, just a little wary and bitter about what's to come in the romance department. I just hope it isn't as bad as I'm expecting and I can enjoy the show regardless, because I think it's pretty good :D.
Episode 6. I'm dreading the incoming love triangle. Right now I love the show as it is, and I would love a bromance/teamwork to be explored. The business part is very different from what i've seen so far in dramaland, very appealing and highly entertaining (I don't find predictability to be a bad thing).
Not really invested in the main pairing, but I don't dislike them, they are cute. So yeah, the love triangle has a high chance of messing up everything I want from this show.
I never have SLS so i'm not going to fall in that hole, but man, HJP is so cool! I just wish they went for the HJP x WIJ route. They are both mature professionals and they would have made an amazing pair IMO.
Well, i'll just try to enjoy the show as it is, because i'm really loving the idea and having a very good time.
Another metalhead here! I can relate with this article on a very personal level. I was also never able to get into modern pop music or anything that wasn't alternative rock/metalcore/ etc... And even with anime openings in my most "otaku" years, I only liked the most punk ones. To my total surprise, I ended up LOVING a lot of k-drama OST that differ a lot from my tastes.
And by a lot, I mean 20% of everything I hear in k-dramas, and that's a lot for me. "In Silence", "Somebody" and "Satellite" are also one of my favorite ones. On my "I-dont-know-why-i-love-this-but-i-do" list I also have:
The trailer made me sweat blood. I know i'm going to have a hard time watching this but i'm also going to like it. If I don't die in the process by a heart attack.
What the fuck with the instrumental OST? It sounds like an action movie music lmao I love it.
EDIT: I was taken aback and postponed this drama because the hate to the FL and the "low ratings". But i'm really really loving it? Like, it's overly dramatic, and some things don't make total sense, but i'm so into it? :D
I seriously don't want them to change anything, it will ruin the beauty of the original.
I don't agree in that point :( We don't really need a copy-paste, for that we have the original one. What would make this interesting for me it's giving it a new twist, with that "k-drama charm" we all love.
Hahaha, if you told me a year ago that there would be a korean remake of a TV series from my country, I would've laughed. It's just so weird?
I just hope they take away all the annoying things from the original, and give it a new charm, I don't really want it to be 100% faithful, because I wanted to punch almost every character :D
Oh wow what the hell happened? Everything is burning!! I was planning to watch this as soon as Netflix dropped it in my country, and now i'm in doubt. People, is this still worth watching despite the ending y'all are talking about? D:
I usually hate love triangles with a burning passion... but i'm finding myself strangely attracted to this and both of the guys? Definitely gonna binge-watch in January.
I felt the same with the super human speed action in the beginning. I don't know if it was needed.
The super human speed didn't bother me as much as the choppy editing, but the two things are related, so yeah. Though it's also hard to make quality supernatural fights without enough time, a good cgi, budget, and action team behind, so we may have to concede a little ;)

I'll write my thoughts when I finish the show ;)

I'm baffled, I've had 0 problems with it so far, I would give it a 9/10. I've seen so much worse, even in famous movies.

And some more, but those I specially like ;)
