Granny Gamri made me bawl... It felt like losing my granny the second time around. As if the Chang family scene and Chief Hong's backstory are not painful enough, they decided to end Episode 15 with that. I couldn't stop crying :(
Oh my, I randomly just decided to watch this drama, but it ended up becoming one of my all-time favorite dramas ever. The 16-episode format of kdramas can be very challenging to me, but Hometown Cha-cha-cha can go on forever and I won't ever complain. I always look forward to the end of my workday because I watch this as a treat for myself. This drama is a comfort drama through and through, like a warm cup of coffee during a rainy day. It has the perfect balance of all the good stuff that I love in fiction: heartwarming friendships, touching family bonds, and beautiful romance. Not to mention all the awesome characters and the breathtaking rural sceneries. I honestly felt like I'm a part of the Gongjin community.
I could go on and on about how much this drama brought me joy and warmth. I highly recommend this, and I'll surely be going back to this drama that felt like home. ❤️
This drama is so good. Seeing everyone work together finally was so satisfying, but of course we still have two more episodes so things won't go well too smoothly. I'm curious about how they will handle the conflict at the end of ep. 7.
One complain from this series... They never let JMD sing in her original voice. Dam that gynecologist is one fine…
They let her sing with her original voice twice. First is in Songhwa's memory of their Introduce Me a Good Person performance in the 99s. The second is in the finale of season 2. A part of her karaoke performance was shown through Ikjun's POV, where she sounded like Mido.
The episode gave a focus to some of the unsung heroes: nurses, ER staff, and Radiology. Thank you to all the hardworking medical staff! Some of them may go unnoticed but they all work together to save patients. So it's wonderful that this episode gave them a focus. :D This episode was light and fun to watch, love it to bits (special mention to iksong scenes aaaahh, i love them so much!) 😄
E08 made me ugly cry. I couldn't stop crying because it hit too close to home. Still a beautiful episode, nonetheless. It's heartbreaking and yet comforting. ❤️
This is such a fun, lighthearted drama! This is my first time watching a drama about screenwriting, and it made me appreciate dramas more. I couldn’t ask for a better ending :) that was very satisfying.
Thank you for this article, and I'm happy to see two of my favorite dramas here (99.9 and Unnatural)! If I may also add more, I recommend MIU404, Nijiiro Karute, Kounodori, Kagi no Kakatta Heya, and Unsung Cinderella. :D
Also episode 3 had me rooting for Sosuke x Ai. Sosuke has his flaws like any human being but he's willing to acknowledge and correct them. I love how their relationship is slowly developing and I hope it continues! Sosuke is now helping Ai regain the confidence she lost, so I am rooting for them now! :") Sosuke's smile when he saw how hardworking Ai is made me go awwwwww. And that scene at the end is so heartwarming!
Episode 3 had me screaming loudly in my room in the middle of the night, omg. This drama is way, way better than what I had expected. I watched this just because I wanted to watch something more lighthearted than my usual dramas, but I didn't expect to get a drama that is so relatable, touching, and inspiring? This is such a pleasant surprise 🥺 Episode 4 preview looks so good already, aaaah!!
This drama just keeps outdoing itself every episode! I have many favorite moments in ep 5. So happy to see more lacking 5 scenes together. Mama Rosa scenes are gold as always. And yay we got adorable Uju and Ikjun scene as well. :D
I am about to watch this but I found out it will be released on July 23 (iirc) on Netflix. So I'll have to wait for a bit more. I'm happy more Jdramas are being accessible internationally nowadays! :")
I could go on and on about how much this drama brought me joy and warmth. I highly recommend this, and I'll surely be going back to this drama that felt like home. ❤️
It just keeps on getting better and better.
