I understand, but here’s the thing, in life just in general outside of the show… when things happen to you…
I'm thinking the word self-blame doesn't fit DW's character. DW’s character isn’t about blame—it’s about accountability, and there’s a profound difference. Blame feels like quicksand: it sinks you into self-loathing and helplessness. But accountability? That’s a lifeline. Imo, DW believes that her choices have weight—not just for herself, but for those around her.

From a young age, survival wasn’t just a goal for her; it was her compass, shaping every decision. Yet, survival for DW doesn’t mean staying stuck in regret or self-pity. Instead, she embraces growth. She owns her actions without letting them define her, using her missteps as stepping stones. It’s not about punishing herself; it’s about learning, making amends, and vowing to do better next time.

And honestly, isn’t that the essence of true survival? Thriving isn’t about being flawless—it’s about falling, standing back up, and daring to move forward with purpose.

This is another striking contrast between DW and CSJ. DW embraces her choices and mistakes, wearing them as badges of growth, even when the weight is heavy. And it’s not just maturity—it’s courage to face the mirror and say, 'This is mine to fix.' CSJ, on the other hand, runs from that mirror, as if avoiding the reflection absolves her of the wreckage. And so, she stumbles in the same circle of devastating consequences, unknowingly carving paths of pain for those who dare stand too close to her.

DW moves forward, scars and all, while CSJ remains trapped in the chaos of her own making.

I am currently on ep 11 and I was wondering... is it only me or was the transition of ZJ from cold and aggressive…
In my view, because he's a cold, ruthless, attractive b*******, YZJ's used to girls running away from him. DW is the only woman bold enough to pursue him and not his money. Plus, he’s already into her. He’s probably been quietly nursing a crush that whole time, even if he’s too stubborn or in denial to admit it.

To me, DW and YZJ are both dealing with such intense grief, but they’re handling it in ways that feel so personal…
I might be reading too much into YZJ’s expression and tears, influenced by my own experience, because facing the reality of death is emotionally devastating. It’s an unrelenting wave of grief that strips away your strength, leaving just one goal: surviving without fully giving up. Few people can bear their own pain while also comforting a loved one, offering them hope for a future you won’t share.

So, YZJ’s selfish focus on his agenda feels very relatable to me, because I made a similar choice which is to push loved ones away. In the rain scene when he was witnessing DW's cries, his pain, clenched fist, and tears didn’t just show heartbreak—to me, they hinted at regret for hurting DW. I hope he finds the chance to properly apologize to her in future episodes.

😂 I am on a one track mind that no matter what, YZJ must be there at the end. And of course with DW.
😆I'm betting on ZL's HE track record. There's a cure, I hope. 😆

I get why DW would want to take things slow with him—she's been hurt, and rebuilding that trust isn’t something he can just expect to snap back in place. It’s her right to make him earn every bit of it, and honestly, he should. But I also feel this bittersweet ache, because time is slipping away. YZJ’s life is dwindling, and if she spends what little they have left in guarded distance, it’s her heart that will bear the pain in the end. If... if she finds the truth, the remaining time is her chance to love fully, to forgive if she can, and to let him go without regret. YZJ is already facing his own regrets for being selfish, carrying the weight of what he's done. And maybe, for them both, time wasted in hesitation or pride will only carve deeper wounds, leaving DW with a heart full of what-ifs after he's gone.

Lol understandable, from the first episode, I’ve been hooked by how deep and messy these characters are. This drama doesn’t just entertain; it makes you sit with the complexities of love and loss. YZJ's choice is selfish, thus unlikeable, yet achingly sad and even more tragic.

Maybe ZJR moving in will light a fire under YZJ to find a cure. 😆

It's so interesting to read the varying opinions of others on the direction and pacing of the lead's reconciliation.…
I enjoy reading your thoughts, especially on character growth! DW and YZJ are staying true to who they are. They’re both so fiercely stubborn and complicated—it makes perfect sense that any kind of reconciliation between them is going to be a slow burn, which will cause a wide range of emotions, internal conflict and reflection. That's why we're all hooked. 😆 It feels real. I’m thrilled their scenes together are picking up again because it really feels like we’re being led toward something big. Whether they find their way back to each other as friends, lovers, or both, I know it’s going to be such a satisfying journey to watch. (Fingers crossed, lovers and HE)
