If there are ever K-drama to C-drama remakes, which dramas would you like Lusi to play? Personally, I'd love to…
Among other things, I’d genuinely love to see Lusi's take on C-drama versions of some iconic K-drama female leads. I think she’d be amazing at bringing the emotional rollercoaster and inner strength of a female Ha Eun Gyeol from Twinkling Watermelon, the quirky intelligence and resilience of Woo Yeong U from Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the range and multi-character depth of Kim So Yong from Mr. Queen, and the layered complexity of characters like Ko Mun Young from It’s Okay to Not Be Okay or Hong Hae In from Queen of Tears.

It would be exciting to see how she could reinterpret these characters in a C-drama context, not copying them, but creatively reshaping and elevating them in her own unique way.

I’m on the same page with those who are curious. Releasing an unfinished or incomplete drama is definitely a gamble. If they’re bold enough to air it just to break even, then it really should be done in good faith: out of respect for the cast and everyone who worked hard behind the scenes. At the very least, make it look good for all the actors involved, not turn the release into a passive-aggressive chess move against anyone.

If it’s handled with class, respect, and a bit of style, and it ends up being a hit, then great — those rewards would actually feel earned. But if they try to weaponize the release of this drama or stir controversy for attention, they’re basically inviting a backlash that could be loud, messy, and well-deserved.

At the end of the day, respect, class, and good faith still matter. So the real question is simple: do they want a positive reputation… or a self-inflicted PR nightmare?

Seeing her popularity and Hard work I think she deserves more award like they made her to sit there till the end…
I thought the same until I watched the whole awards event... and then started giggling at some of the names of the awards. Quality over quantity is more rewarding.

Guys wht r ur thoughts on the latest speculations surrounding JCT? What's really going on?
If there’s a villain in this saga, it’s the person who thought airing private conversations in public was a shortcut to fame, only to end up with notoriety instead. Guess that plan worked… just not the way she intended or maybe she intend to become infamous.

Moral of the story for celebrities or people in general: if you choose to hang around garbage, don’t be shocked when the stink sticks to you.

I don't know what's wrong with people but suddenly so many hate comments they're mostly in Chinese language so…
I left a positive comment and chose not to engage further after reading the first reprimanding post from a self-proclaimed expert on celebrity and online behavior. Just a bunch of judgmental losers. Those posts are all hypocritical. I hope Lusi hires someone who just blocks all these garbage comments and just focus on positivity. There’s no real value in absorbing negativity from overly confident voices hiding behind keyboards.

I loved her in Filter, so I was genuinely excited to start this drama. First episode in and… tell me why I wasn’t even a little heartbroken when her parents were tragically murdered... multiple arrows, bloody... right in front of her?? And that little wave from the father before falling into his watery grave? OMG lol

Instead of devastation, I’m getting gaping mouth, glazed eyed, mildly sad expressions like she just dropped her phone, not witnessed a life-altering trauma. What is going on with these emotional levels in these dramas? Where’s the screaming, the collapse, the fear, the devastation, the soul leaving the body moment?

Anyway… end rant. SMH 😮‍💨

Unless... is this a comedy?

Hope Zhao Lusi’s international fans know their limits. Don’t be overly proud or hype things up. I keep seeing…
“Hope international fans know their limits” is a choice of phrasing 😅 But maybe let’s dial it back from confrontation to conversation.

Speaking for myself as an "international fan" and from a Western industry perspective, prestigious awards typically celebrate performance, craft, and artistic merit, not platform affiliation. From that viewpoint, it’s not unreasonable for international fans (myself included, at first) to wonder why a popular and widely discussed actress wasn’t present. I now understand that platform awards like iQIYI Stream Night operate very differently. These events function more as brand showcases and popularity-driven celebrations rather than traditional, merit-based industry awards. That distinction, however, isn’t always obvious to audiences outside the domestic entertainment ecosystem.

In my humble opinion, explaining this difference to international fans is far more productive than telling people to “stay in their lane.” The latter doesn’t encourage understanding; it shuts down dialogue and reflects a limited, backward-looking mindset. Moreover, this type of confrontational framing tends to incite fan wars which are often to the benefit of certain narcissistic “fans” who thrive on conflict rather than discussion.

Education beats gatekeeping every time. And honestly, a little context goes much further than a reality check delivered with a scolding tone 😉

True, the weight of their lies and intentions really depends on the viewers. To me, both of them dealt in half-truths, each misleading the other until their relationship collapsed under the mutual fog. I don’t believe he wanted a nanny, he’s rich; he could hire ten. What he did want was a polished, principled trophy wife who’d fit neatly into his curated life. Cold? Absolutely. Evil? Not quite. He treated the whole relationship like a transactional pact: be good to me, and I’ll be good to you.

Her lies weren’t small potatoes either. She hired stand-ins to play her parent. At that point, we’re not talking white lies; we’re talking theatrical-level fraud. Household register aside, they were married, which only makes the deception stickier.

And about ‘equal’ self-reflection? Honestly, I believe relationships are never a 50/50 spreadsheet. They’re more like constantly shifting negotiations. What each person can tolerate, forgive, or sacrifice defines the balance.

I am Korean, and I need to say this clearly. Kim Soo Hyun Was Never Given a Fair Chance- How a Witch-Hunt Began…
Mob mentality has always been one of the most dangerous expressions of human behavior. History is full of tragedies born from collective hysteria; stonings, lynchings, witch hunts (humans actually burned humans at the stake), public shaming, racism, and propaganda. Today, that same impulse has simply moved online in the form of cyberbullying. And thus, multiplying the mental torture and abuse globally.

Some people take comfort in tearing others down because it momentarily fills a void within themselves, but the impact is real. It’s alarming how quickly false narratives spread on the internet, and how readily people accept them as truth. If concrete evidence existed, due process, not comment sections, would and should determine the outcome. And if a justice system fails, that becomes a national issue, not a fandom drama.

What many forget is that every post, every accusation, and every careless insult has consequences, for the person being defamed, for their family, their friends, for their future, and also to the very same bullies who dwell and thrive on such negativity and injustice. The absence of empathy and critical thinking in these moments is not just unsettling; it’s a stark reminder of how easily humanity can regress when we stop questioning what we consume and start echoing the loudest voices instead.

If thinking is free, why aren’t more people trying it?

Crazy ass misogynistic ass double standard. So main issue is she lied about her parents (which concerns him how)…
If you ever manage to find a man who is consistently emotionally mature and self-aware, please alert the scientific community, because you’ve discovered a new species. What I love about these two leads is how wonderfully human they are. They mess up, they cringe at their own decisions, they drag their guilt around like emotional carry-on luggage, and then, miracle of miracles, they actually grow.

The male lead is a whole case study in Pride vs. Reality. He clings to his ego like it’s a life raft, even while his own lies are backhanding him into next week. It takes losing her for him to finally admit, “Ah yes, the problem might also be… me.” Character development unlocked.

As for the female lead, I don’t see a woman spiraling into a self-hatred montage. I see someone doing the deep, unglamorous work of sorting through her pain, guilt, and existential leftovers. She breaks herself open, examines the pieces, and rebuilds with more strength, clarity, and self-worth than before. That’s not weakness, that’s emotional architecture.

And for anyone expecting an idol drama where feelings are as shallow as the lighting is flattering, sorry, wrong show. This story actually wades into the murky waters of human nature and pokes around at the grey bits most, if not all, idol dramas gloss over.

Doesn't sound like Lusi. She's more humble and kind than that. To me, seem fake. Another click bait.
I agree. A lot of those so-called "news" posts aren't reporting the entire truth, they're crafted narratives for clicks, cash, and to create chaos. It’s no wonder anxiety and depression are climbing, which is disturbing. I'm also glad that she's doing better and I hope protecting her mental health is part of her long-term strategy.

Thanks for the explanation. That bit about her stating that the production team “shoulder the loss because hers was bigger” feels wildly out of character. Lusi has never struck me as the type to keep scoreboards of misfortune, much less place setbacks on others. Ultimately, what happened is unfortunate for everyone involved. Honestly, so many of these K-drama and C-drama clips or articles are edited with surgical precision to fit whatever narrative the creator is chasing. Context gets trimmed, nuance gets sacrificed, and suddenly a harmless comment becomes a headline.

I don't blame anyone. I opened it and context, the wording, looks fake to me because it's out of character. That's my perception. You don't need to scream and throw a tantrum.

Beauty is subjective. Depends on what you prefer. There are different types of flawed characters in my view, some are totally red flag and "ugly" as in complete villain. Then there are some that you just feel there is something missing, something that they are not showing you yet. Like, Shen Haoming, he doesn't change completely or quickly, he maintains his character, but he is not completely unredeemable. He will eventually apologize, and also become less selfish, it will just take time, realistically. The pacing is right for me, but may not be fast enough for others. So depends on your preference.

I'm up to episode 23 and I'm yet to see any evidence that Shen Hao Ming really loves Xu Yan. As he explanied himself,…
Shen Haoming is so beautifully flawed he could’ve walked straight out of a Picasso painting—crooked lines, sharp edges, and a soul you can’t stop staring at. That’s what makes him irresistible: he stumbles, learns, and slowly shapes himself into the kind of man Xu Yan’s love was always meant to inspire.
